  • Patent number: 8926311
Abstract: A vibration system for concrete pipe making machines using the dry cast method and which employ adjustable molds comprised of corner panels joined to intermediate panels. Two coupled vertically spaced-apart vibrators are mounted in two opposite corner panels of the mold core. The vibrators are mounted on shelves welded to the interior of the walls that form the mold surface. The shelves are also welded to vertical end walls that extend inwardly to form the box-like corner panel. The corner panels and intermediate panels are secured together by removable fasteners that join the vertical end walls of the corner panels to the corresponding vertical end walls of the side panels. The joined corner panels and side panels provide a rigid core structure similar to a solid core and allow the entire core to become the vibration structure.

Abstract: A concrete block-molding machine having a concrete mix feed station, and a concrete molding and block ejection station adjacent to the feed station wherein the concrete molding and block ejection station has a vibratile plate having a plurality of holes in a pre-selected hole pattern, a mold having a mold interior positionable on the vibratile plate and having holes in the pre-selected hole pattern, and a support plate dimensioned and patterned to form a bottom face of a molded concrete block. An ejector plate having a plurality of projecting rods in the pre-selected hole pattern is positionable below the vibrating plate, with the rods of a diameter such that they pass through the holes in the vibratile plate and the mold. Means are provided for raising and lowering a pressure plate assembly so as to compress a concrete mix in the mold provided. Means are also provided for raising and lowering the ejector plate so as to contact and raise and lower the support plate out of and into the mold.

Abstract: The present invention includes a conforming template for patterning liquids disposed on substrates. The template includes a body having opposed first and second surfaces. The first surface includes a plurality of recessed regions with a patterning region being disposed between adjacent recessed regions. Specifically, the recessed regions define flexure regions about which each patterning region may move independent of the remaining patterning regions of the template. In one embodiment the template is mounted to a fluid chamber having an inlet and a throughway. The template is connected to the throughway and the inlet is connected to a fluid source to facilitate deformation of the template to conform to a profile of a surface adjacent thereto.

  • Patent number: 7025583
Abstract: Apparatus and method for carrying out compaction operations on molded bodies that consist of granular materials and are placed on pallets, the compaction being achieved by impact of a vibrating table on the underside of the pallet. The vibrating table, together with a spring system forms a mass-spring system, which acts as a vibrator capable of oscillation that is excited by an excitation device to produce forced vibrations. The spring system, together with the system mass, is designed to develop at least one individual frequency within the range of the compaction frequency, whereby it is also possible to adjust the individual frequency gradually or continuously. This, together with the fact that the excitation frequency can be adjusted, allows the vibrator to be operated partially or completely in resonance mode over the whole frequency range of the compaction.

  • Patent number: 7004442
Abstract: A mold frame for an apparatus for producing shaped concrete articles has two longitudinal and two transverse frame members which are detachably screwed to one another with form-fit on the four corners of the rectangular mold frame. The transverse frame members on their end faces have polygonal pins which fit closely into the correspondingly shaped recesses of the longitudinal frame members to resist torsional movement. The polygonal pins and recesses are penetrated by one locking screw at a time with which the mold frame is braced in itself. A mold insert which has several mold cavities is braced within the mold frame by a tongue and groove connection. The form-fit screw connection between the longitudinal and transferse frame members makes it possible to accommodate the very high forces and torques which are formed by shaking vibrations during the molding process.
