Plural Distinct Severing Means Patents (Class 425/512)
  • Patent number: 11376777
Abstract: A molding system includes a molding machine, a mold disposed on the molding machine, a processing module, and a controller operably communicating with the processing module. The molding machine includes a barrel, a screw moving within the barrel, a driving motor driving the screw to move a molding material. The mold has a mold cavity with a die swell structure for being filled with the molding material. The processing module simulating a filling process of the molding material based on a molding condition including a predetermined screw speed for the molding machine, wherein simulating the filling process of the molding material comprises simulating a die swell effect of the molding material in the die swell structure by taking into consideration of an effective factor, a shear viscosity, an extension viscosity, a shear rate, and a molecular orientation effect of the molding material.

  • Patent number: 8152510
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing baked goods and a mold apparatus having a cavity in a desired shape for use in said method, the mold apparatus comprising a gap that allows for venting of vapor produced during heating or baking of a mixture in the mold apparatus but does not allow any significant amount of the mixture to escape from the cavity of the mold apparatus via the gaps.

  • Patent number: 6942479
Abstract: A manually operated dough press comprising a frame with a base and a housing, an upper platen having a working surface, and a lower platen attached to the base and having a working surface opposed to, substantially parallel to, and spaced from the upper platen working surface. The upper platen is attached to the lower end of a shaft that extends from the housing and mounted for reciprocating motion. A pair of mated interlocking components, one attached to the shaft and one attached to the housing, provide stability for vertical reciprocation. The drive mechanism includes a rod fixed perpendicularly to the shaft interlocking component, a pair of cam with spiral slots within which the ends of the rod ride, and an axle to which the cams are mounted and driven by a handle that rotates the cams to raise and lower the upper platen. Counterbalance for the upper platen/shaft is provided by a torsion bar assembly.

  • Patent number: 5409363
Abstract: Apparatus for stamping a pattern into bread doughs in which the dough is continuously conveyed in cups and is stamped by star shaped tips of pattern forming tools mounted to a stamping head. The stamping head travels in an elliptical path by virtue of a pinion ring assembly with supports for the stamping head mounted in positions offset from the center of a turret pinion that rotates as it orbits a turret ring. An eccentric pinion assembly controls the speed of the stamping head by controlling the speed of the turret pinion's orbit around the turret rings, so that the stamping head's speed is decreased to match the speed of the cups while dough stamping occurs, and its speed is increased during repositioning of the stamping head for the next set of dough-filled cups.

  • Patent number: 4920727
Abstract: The invention relates to a cassette system for inserting a rod inside a tubular basic element. The system consists of at least two elongated plate-shaped cassettes provided with transverse channels as well as of a shank whereby the rods placed in channels of one cassette can be pushed into the tubular basic elements placed in channels of the other cassette after placing the cassettes in alignment with each other. The invention relates also to an apparatus for manufacturing a subcutaneous prophylactic capsule, comprising a tubular basic element and a hormone rod placed therein.

  • Patent number: 4382768
Abstract: An improved apparatus for making dough envelopes containing filling. The apparatus is molded from plastic and includes a frame structure having a plurality of interconnected hexagonal molds so as to form a honeycomb type structure. Each hexagonal mold includes six inclined cutting edges which are connected around a central inverted conical chamber. The inverted conical chamber partially supports the dough envelope during formation to produce uniformly shaped and aesthetically pleasing envelopes. Further, horizontal pasting faces are provided in the corners of each mold between the conical chamber base and cutting edges lower edges. These horizontal pasting faces in combination with the cutting edges provide a strong and uniform seal around the dough envelope edges.

  • Patent number: 4342718
Abstract: A material web impregnated with a settable synthetic resin travels in vertical direction, from the bottom towards the top, through a first heat treatment zone where the solvent of the synthetic resin or plastic is evaporated and there occurs a chemical reaction. The tacky material web departing from the first heat or thermal treatment zone then passes through a cooling zone where it is cooled by means of a cooling medium to such a degree that it does not stick to the deflection or diverting rolls over which the material web subsequently is guided. After deflection of the material web the latter is moved in vertical direction downwardly through a second heat treatment zone where the chemical reaction proceeds. Prior to winding-up of the material web the latter is further cooled.

  • Patent number: 4306849
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method wherein bottom blanks for containers are severed from a web feed roll and subsequently transferred at a compatible speed and spacing to final forming mandrels on which finished containers are to be formed. The bottom blanks are tangentially transferred from a first transfer turret at a final velocity and spacing most desirable for cutting and minimizing scrap to a second transfer turret at a second velocity and spacing and thereafter tangentially transferred to the final forming mandrels. Subsequently, preprinted rectangular blanks of longitudinally stretch-oriented foam sheet material formed into cylinders are transferred onto the final forming mandrels. Thereafter, the bottom blanks the cylindrical blanks and the final forming mandrels are heated to shrink the cylindrical blanks so that they assume the shape of the final forming mandrels. The top curl on containers such as drinking cups and food tubs is formed after shrink forming.
