Publication number: 20140137408Abstract: In one aspect, a method of forming a hot gas path component is provided. The method includes forming at least one groove in an outer surface of a substrate, wherein the at least one groove has a base and a top. The method further includes filling the at least one groove with a filler. The method also includes applying at least one cover layer over at least a portion of the outer surface of the substrate such that the at least one groove and the at least one cover layer define at least one micro-channel for cooling the component. The filler is automatically removed from the at least one micro-channel during application of the at least one cover layer. Methods for coating a hot gas component and for assembling a turbine engine assembly are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2012Publication date: May 22, 2014Applicant: GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANYInventor: GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY

Patent number: 8722151Abstract: A method for creating a wood like appearance on a synthetic component using a sales client device, a network, computer instructions for creating a work order, a tray with scannable tray identifier to hold a synthetic component, a production client device connected to the network with computer instructions for applying a base coat, a glaze, and a top coat with spray treatment devices to the synthetic component as it automatically moves on a conveyer system a portion of which is connected to the production client device. Scanning a scannable tray identifier with a plurality of sensors to link the tray identifier to the work order and to authenticate and validate the location of the tray on the conveyor system, or to initiate an alerting device. The method uses temperature control environments to simultaneously control humidity and heating of the synthetic component while spraying, drying and UV curing.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2013Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: Glasscraft Door CompanyInventors: John B. Patent number: 8715773Abstract: A method of making a filter adjusts the bottom heights of the color-resisting colors to make the top ends of the color-resisting blocks be in a same level by disposing the foundation layer between the transparent substrate and the light-shielding layer and disposing the groove in the foundation layer, so that ensuring that surfaces of the filter have a good evenness and the alignment of liquid crystals is normal for enhancing the displaying effect of the liquid crystal display. The present invention improves the bottom evenness of the through holes by disposing the foundation layer on the bottoms of the through holes, thereby eliminating the “ox horn-shaped segment difference” of the protruding edges of the color-resisting blocks formed later.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2011Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignee: Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chun-ming Wu
