Patent number: 8399103Abstract: A method of a pre-treatment process for coating notably improves both the surface roughness of a coating layer of a cemented carbide cutting tool and the bonding force of the coating layer to the substrate. According to the method, a sintered surface layer within a range of 0.5-5 ?m, which corresponds to the tungsten carbide particle size of a substrate, is properly removed from the substrate surface of a cemented carbide cutting tool. Thus, a porous sintered surface layer having a non-uniform structure is removed and a substrate surface having high structure density and evenness is provided compared to blasting pre-treatment. In order to obtain a sufficient bonding force between a coating layer and the substrate, the surface ratio of open pores, which exist around tungsten carbide particles appearing by removal of the porous sintered surface, is equal to or more than 5%.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2007Date of Patent: March 19, 2013Assignee: TaeguTec, Ltd.Inventors: Dong Gil Ahn, Kern Woo Lee

Patent number: 6730360Abstract: A lubricant varnish component and a lubricant varnish, for example, for coating elastomer profiles, are provided, wherein lubricant varnish component includes a polyurethane, a siloxane as well as a polyamide powder, a polyethylene powder or a solution of a polyamide. The lubricant varnish may additionally contain a curing agent, in particular an isocyanate-based curing agent. In addition, a first method for coating elastomers is proposed, wherein the proposed lubricant varnish is first applied in the form of a coating to an elastomer profile, and this coating then being dried and/or thermally crosslinked. Also, the proposed lubricant varnish, having or not having polyamide or polyethylene, may first be applied in the form of a first coat to the elastomer profile, and an alcoholic or aqueous solution of a polyamide in the form of a second coat or a polyamide powder or a polyethylene powder may then being applied to the first coat.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2003Date of Patent: May 4, 2004Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Andreas Vogt, Lutz Mueller, Ulrich Hasenkox, Guido Klamt

Patent number: 6699415Abstract: A process for the production of a manufactured article for coatings, for components of sanitary ware, kitchen fittings, etc., in polymerized transparent resin in which marble and other stones are embedded. The surface of the product is worked by brushing with abrasives, so as to obtain depressions corresponding to the resin, and slight projections with substantially uniform distribution corresponding to the inserts; advantageously, the inserts are “decapitated” to give smoothed surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2001Date of Patent: March 2, 2004Inventor: Silena Gaggini

Patent number: RE42384Abstract: Water soluble materials, compositions and systems for use in treating concrete-containing materials and surfaces are disclosed. Treatment modalities that include addition of the disclosed materials, compositions and systems to pre- and post-construction concrete-containing materials and surfaces are provided. Reductions in the rate and/or impact of corrosion are achieved for concrete-containing structures and surfaces. In addition, despite the water soluble properties of the material, composition or system, the treatments are effective in delivering an advantageous level of moisture resistance to the treated concrete-containing structure and/or surface. The composition is synthesized from a feedstock that includes C9 to C16 branched hydrocarbons of varying structures.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2010Date of Patent: May 24, 2011Assignee: Hycrete, Inc.Inventors: Eugene B.
