Abstract: Devices and methods described herein operate with high temperature parts, such as heated metal parts obtained from a furnace via a conveyer. For example, in an embodiment, heated parts are coated with a coating solution by spraying the solution onto the parts without a quenching process. Methods and devices in embodiments allow cutting the volume of coating solution required for coating parts. Further, by not quenching the heated parts, heat remaining in the parts after coating process can be utilized for subsequent heat-requiring steps. Further, dispensing flow rate of the coating solution can be adjusted by a pump, thereby controlling coating density and temperature of the parts. Coated parts can dry without forced air, additional heat, or additional time. This allows a secondary operation shortly after the coating process, for which a dry surface is required.

  • Patent number: 7641934
Abstract: There are provided a process for the production of an entry sheet for drilling, comprising preparing a water-soluble resin composition solution by using a mixed solvent containing water and isopropyl alcohol in a specific ratio as a solvent of a water-soluble resin composition, then applying the solution to a sheet-like base material and drying the resultant base material to form a resin layer on the base material, and a method of drilling a printed wiring board material using the above entry sheet. According to the present invention, the problems of remaining bubbles in the resin layer and a decrease in surface flatness and smoothness due to the occurrence of a ridge, which are caused because the melting point of the water-soluble resin is lower than the boiling point of water, are overcome, and an entry sheet for drilling excellent in hole position accuracy is provided.

Abstract: A rust inhibitor which ensures the simplicity of application typical for a coating process and can demonstrate excellent characteristics similar to those obtained with a metal spraying method. The rust inhibitor is manufactured by admixing zinc and aluminum as fine powders of inorganic metals, which are manufactured with a stamping mill to have a flaky shape, to a modified silicone resin solution. A silane-type silicone resin is used for the modified silicone resin solution. For example, a mixed solution of an organosilane-type silicone resin and an oligomer-type silane coupling agent and the like is used.

Abstract: Compositions and methods of preparing functional thin films or surface coatings with low non-specific binding are described. The thin films contain specified functional groups and non-specific binding repellant components. The thin films are either covalently bound to or passively adsorbed to various solid substrates. The specified functional group provides specified activity for the thin film modified solid surfaces and non-specific binding repellant components significantly reduce the non-specific binding to the thin film modified solid surfaces. Non-specific binding repellant components do not affect specified functional group's activity in the thin films. In these methods, specified functional groups are anchored to the solid substrates through a spacer.
