Paper Base Patents (Class 427/411)
  • Patent number: 3984607
Abstract: Polyurethane coated textile sheets are disclosed and a reversal process for their preparation, wherein the textile sheets are coated by means of a top coat solution with a polymer mixture comprisingI. 50 to 90% by weight, based on the total polymer, of a substantially linear polyurethane which is substantially free of reactive end groups and which has been prepared by a process which comprises reacting an organic dihyroxyl compound of molecular weight 500 to 4000 and an organic diol of molecular weight 60 to 450 with an aromatic diisocyanate,Ii. 0 to 50% by weight of a vinyl copolymer, andIii. 1 to 50% by weight of a diene graft copolymer,Said polymer mixture having been applied to a release substrate prior to said coating process.

  • Patent number: 3957710
Abstract: Paper coating compositions with finely divided pigment, optical brightener and a binder containing a copolymer of from 5 to 30% by weight of mono-olefinically unsaturated carboxylic acids, from 5 to 30% by weight of mono-olefinically unsaturated monomers containing basic nitrogen atoms and from 50 to 80% by weight of other olefinically unsaturated monomers which, when polymerized alone, give water-insoluble homopolymers and cause virtually no reduction in the effect of conventional optical brighteners even in the absence of casein or carboxymethyl cellulose.

  • Patent number: 3948702
Abstract: A stabilized bi-elastic fabric bonded on its underside to an elastomeric, gas-tight film adapted for use in covering upholstered furniture. The fabric is formed from a ply yarn of elastomeric filaments, coarse yarn, and fine yarn. After being woven, the fabric is stabilized by a process involving steam shrinking, washing, drying and fixing. The stabilized fabric is then heat bonded to the film which makes the composite fabric well suited for filling with foam or for vacuum deep drawing.

  • Patent number: 3933558
Abstract: A laminated decorative sheet is prepared by applying a coating layer consisting of a thermo-setting resin composition on a base paper for a decorative laminate which has been prepared by incorporating a composition the whole or a major part of which is composed of a synthetic rubber and/or a thermo-plastic synthetic resin substance into the base paper during the paper making thereof or by impregnating the base paper with the thermo-plastic synthetic resin composition or with the mixture thereof; or alternatively is prepared by laminating another base paper for a decorative laminate which has been impregnated with the thermosetting resin composition on the above mentioned base paper containing the thermo-plastic synthetic resin composition, and the thus prepared layers are laminated under heat and pressure to form a laminated decorative sheet having smooth surface which is subjected to emboss-processing under a heating condition of at least 100.degree.
