Wood Grain Patents (Class 428/106)
  • Patent number: 8647749
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide multi-ply platforms suitable for the manufacture of decorative panels and decorative panels incorporating such multi-ply platforms, which multi-ply platforms improve the resistance to deformation caused by changes in relative humidity and/or temperature of, or around, such decorative panels. This object is achieved by providing multi-ply platforms comprising a plurality of plies which are arranged so that the platform is substantially unbalanced around its central plane. The unbalanced platform is achieved by, arranging the plies such that at least two adjacent plies have substantially the same main grain direction and/or that two plies having substantially the same main grain direction are separated only by one or more neutral plies. These unbalanced platforms are intended to be bonded to a further ply to form a substantially balanced decorative panel.

Abstract: A bamboo board of the present invention is produced by preparing a plurality of square tubular bodies fabricated by cutting a surface layer of tubes that form bamboo rods so that the cross sectional surfaces that are orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the bamboo rods have two groups of two parallel facing surfaces, aligning the plurality of square tubular bodies parallel to one another, and gluing facing cut surfaces of the plurality of square tubular bodies in place by means of a first adhesive agent. The bamboo board is produced as a tube without splitting bamboo rods or cutting and shaping an arc-shaped bamboo material into a planar shape in a conventional method is a light-weight board having a sufficient strength, due to less deformation such as warping when using bamboo shaped into a planar configuration and use of a natural hollow structure of bamboo.

The method includes the step of overlaying thin layers of high-density bamboo composites on surfaces of a core layer which can be the composite of wood veneer and wood strand-based composite, or wood veneer and bamboo stripe sheet composite. The benefits of bamboo and wood materials are combined to produce a bamboo-wood composite board having sufficient mechanical and physical strength and durability for use as container flooring.

Abstract: A buffer board for a treadmill includes a bamboo strip portion and an endurable slide plate. The bamboo strip portion is composed of at least one longitudinal strip and at least one transverse strip. The longitudinal strip and the transverse strip are crosswise knitted to constitute a bamboo plate. The bamboo plate can be stacked one by one to form a stack of bamboo plates in a desired thickness for enhancing the strength of the buffer board. The endurable slide plate is attached on the bamboo plate or the stack of bamboo plates. A layer of rubber or foam is attached on the endurable slide board. The buffer board is applied to a running belt of the treadmill, with the bamboo plate to provide a better buffer effect.
