Publication number: 20140220314Abstract: An ink composition suitable for ink jet printing, including printing on deformable substrates. In embodiments, the stretchable ink composition is based on an aqueous ink formulation that provides a more cost-efficient ink over formulations and provides robust images, even when printed on deformable substrates. These ink compositions can be used for ink jet printing.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2013Publication date: August 7, 2014Applicant: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: YILIANG WU, Cameron Derry

Publication number: 20140212635Abstract: A method for printing an image onto fabric, preferably a dark fabric, comprises the steps of transferring an image to the fabric to provide a transferred image on the fabric; and, subsequently applying a highlight that is lighter in color than the dark color to at least a portion of the fabric surrounding the transferred image and/or a margin of the transferred image. A fabric such as a T-shirt comprising a sublimated image and white highlights is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2013Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: ACCOLADE GROUP INC.Inventor: Hyman Ngo

Publication number: 20140205793Abstract: Solid, flexible composite structures may include a textile arrangement of at least one textile layer constructed of textile fibers and having a distribution of pores formed therein, with a first resin filling pores having a pore diameter equal to or less than a pore diameter threshold, and a second resin bonded to the first resin and substantially filling pores having a pore diameter greater than the pore diameter threshold. Some embodiments include a rigid first resin such as an epoxy, and a flexible second resin such as a silicone. Methods of producing composite structures may include selectively filling, in a textile layer having a number of pores formed therein, only those pores having a pore diameter equal to or less than a pore diameter threshold, with a first resin, and substantially filling the remaining pores in the textile layer with a second resin.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2012Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: The Boeing CompanyInventor: Christopher P. Publication number: 20140201960Abstract: Disclosed is an arc flash protection, multiple-use nonwoven fabric structure comprising one or more layers having fire resistant properties. The fabric structure has an arc flash facing nonwoven surface, and a nonwoven part of the fabric structure comprises non-inherent, and/or inherently fire resistant fibers, said fibers being mechanically, chemically, or thermally bonded, whereby the fabric structure has a minimum Arc Thermal Protection Value (ATPV) to fabric basis weight ratio of 250 cal/g, preferably greater than 350 cal/g, more preferably greater than 500 cal/g, when measured in accordance with ASTM F1959—Standard Test Method for Determining the Arc Rating of Materials for Clothing, and the fabric structure maintains said ATPV to fabric basis weight ratio through at least 25 washing cycles when washed according to AATCC Method 135 (3, IV, A iii).Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2014Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: NORAFIN INDUSTRIES GMBHInventors: Stuart Smith, Marc Jolly, Jos van Hattum, Andre Lang, Bettina B.
