Abstract: An image forming apparatus discharging liquid droplets onto a recording medium to form an image on a surface of the recording medium, includes a preprocess unit configured to apply a preprocess liquid to the surface of the recording medium before the image is formed; and a postprocess unit configured to discharge a postprocess liquid onto the surface of the recording medium after the image has been formed, the postprocess liquid being different from the preprocess liquid. The preprocess unit applies the preprocess liquid with an amount of the preprocess liquid determined based on at least image forming speed of the image to be formed on the recording medium. The postprocess unit discharges the postprocess liquid with an amount of the postprocess liquid determined based on at least the image forming speed.

Abstract: Disclosed therein is a flooring, which can secure environment-friendliness by forming a surface layer laminated on an upper face of a base layer using PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) resin instead of wood, easily provide a handcraft surface texture by applying a curved pattern onto the surface of the surface layer using embossing rollers at the time that the surface layer is manufactured, and prevent compression, scratches, discoloration, and so on in comparison with woods. The flooring constructed on a floor of a building includes: a base layer made from one of an MDF, an HDF, and a plywood; and a surface layer having a reinforced layer, a printed layer, and a transparent layer which are laminated on an upper face of the base layer in order, at least one of the layers being made of PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) resin. A curved pattern is formed on an upper face of the surface layer.

  • Patent number: 8956718
Abstract: Substantially transparent conductor layers in touch sensing systems may be formed by forming a barrier layer between an organic layer and a substantially transparent conductive layer. For example, a barrier layer can be formed over the organic layer, and the transparent conductor layer can be formed over the barrier layer. The barrier layer can reduce or prevent outgassing of the organic layer, to help increase the quality of the transparent conductor layer. In another example, a combination layer of two different types of a transparent conductor may be formed over the organic layer by forming a barrier layer of the transparent conductor, and forming a second layer of the transparent conductor on the barrier layer. Outgassing that can occur when forming the barrier layer can cause the transparent conductor of the barrier layer to be of lower-quality, but can result in a higher-quality transparent conductor of the second layer.
