Abstract: A first embodiment can be a method for dying both sides of a paper individually with the capability of different color on each side with a permanent color in the core. Either or both sides can also have one or more printings added. This embodiment can further have a removable coat added wherein the removable coat can be specifically formulated for removal by abrasion such as sanding onto the dyed paper. Further a varnish can be added to the removable coating. In an even further embodiment, printing such as using a CMYK or spot color can be added to the varnished removable coating. The paper can also be embossed with various designs in addition to or in alternative to the printing. The final product can have printed designs of any color combined with embossed designs or patterns. The printed or coated surface colors can be removed by abrasion so the top layer of color can be removed to reveal the color of the paper underneath or the first layer of printing.

  • Patent number: 7989054
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for digitally printing a polymer-coated paper or board (1), to a paper or board suitable for the method and to the production of a product package equipped with digital prints. During digital printing, printing ink particles are applied in an electric field to the printing surface formed of a polymer coating at locations corresponding to the print, and the printing ink is adhered to the printing surface by fusion with the aid of infrared radiation. In accordance with the invention, the paper or board (2) to be printed is equipped with an inner coating layer (3) containing electrically chargeable ethene acrylate copolymer, such as ethene methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA), and with a polyolefin-based outer shield layer (4) on top of this, which contains e.g. low-density polyethene (LDPE) and provides mechanical strength, forming the printing surface receiving the printing ink.

Abstract: Fibrous products are disclosed containing an additive composition. The additive composition, for instance, comprises a water-soluble film forming component, a first water-soluble modifier component and a hydrophobic polymer component. In some aspects, the additive composition further comprises an additional water-soluble modifier component. The additive composition may be incorporated into the fibrous web by being combined with the fibers that are used to form the web. Alternatively, the additive composition may be topically applied to the web after the web has been formed. In one aspect, the additive composition may be applied to the web as a creping adhesive during a creping operation. The additive composition may improve the perceived softness of the web without substantially affecting the absorbency of the web in an adverse manner.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward packs, pads, sheets or rolls of repositionable and reusable sticky notes that are pre-printed with one or more themes, thereby enabling a user of the invention to decorate a home, office, or other structure with the sticky notes to convey a message or expression. The sticky notes are complied in the traditional fashion, with each note having a portion near the top, side, center or bottom or all over if on a roll or sheet which has removable, semi-sticky glue which allows it to stick to a wall. Because the sticky notes are easily removed from the pack, and are pre-printed with the desired message, they are easily placed in large or small quantities on a mirror, wall, floor, ceiling, car, seat, file folder, scrapbook or other hard or soft surface in a decorative manner to send a bold message.
