Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heat-emitting composition coated on the surface of a heat-resistant ceramic ware and emitting heat by absorbing microwaves, which includes a heat-emitting metal oxide material and a binding material, a transfer paper for a ceramic ware including same, a far-infrared-emitting ceramic ware including same, and a method for preparing same. The heat-emitting composition coated on the surface of the ceramic ware absorbs microwaves from a microwave oven and emits heat and far-infrared light, such that food can be cooked evenly in short time by the emitted far-infrared light without burning or drying on the food surface. Further, the far-infrared-emitting ceramic ware can be used as a far-infrared-emitting medical device for fomentation. Also, because of superior heat resistance, the far-infrared-emitting ceramic ware of the present disclosure can be directly heated. Accordingly, cooking can be performed using various means such as gas stove, oven, etc.

  • Patent number: 8772391
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure present electrically conductive, thermosetting compositions for use in surfacing films and adhesives. The surfacing films possess enhanced electrical conductivity, comparable to metals, without the use of embedded metal screens or foils. Such surfacing films may be incorporated into composite structures (e.g., prepregs, tapes, and fabrics), for example, by co-curing, as an outermost surface layer. In particular, compositions formed using silver flakes as conductive fillers are found to exhibit very high electrical conductivity. For example, compositions including greater than 45 wt. % silver flake exhibit resistivities less than about 55 m?/sq. In this manner, the surfacing films as an outermost conductive layer may provide lighting strike protection (LSP) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding when used in applications such as aircraft components.

  • Publication number: 20140017489
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a multilayer film having, as its main component, a hydroxy acid polymer with improved gas barrier and optional heat sealability. The oriented film of predominately hydroxy acid polymer having controlled shrink can be produced by melting and coextruding a hydroxy acid polymer with a much thinner layer of an amorphous aromatic copolyester to form a multilayer film that is quench cooled, then biaxially stretched at a process temperature above the glass transition and below the cold crystallization temperature of the hydroxy acid polymer. A heat-setting treatment with a controlled relaxation of the film above the hydroxy acid polymer glass transition temperature and below its melt temperature may be used to control shrinkage. The films thus obtained are vacuum metallized on the aromatic copolyester surface to produce environmentally friendly packaging from predominately renewable resources having improved gas barrier properties.
