In a further embodiment, discrete adhesive areas are disposed on the first surface of said plurality of wrapping units. In a still further embodiment, the discrete adhesive areas are covered by a protective cover, wherein the protective cover is attached to the first surface of the next said serially connected wrapping unit.

Abstract: An intermediate product for making bag closures wherein an elongated substrate has formed on it a pair of elongated attachment lanes having complementary fastening elements to provide an attachable-detachable closure. The lanes extend parallel and are spaced apart. A perforation line is formed in the substrate between the lanes. The tape is folded by being pulled through a slot along the perforation line to place said lanes in face-to-face engagement. The product is used in a method for making bags or pouches and on a machine modified to seal partially one side of the closure to one side of the mouth of bags or pouches being made and to seal completely the other side of the closure to the other side of the bag of pouch mouth. The perforation is separated to separate the lanes and create an attachable-detachable closure. Interlocking projections can be included in the closure.

The strip has a centerline extending in a longitudinal direction and equidistant between the first edge and the second edge, and a central region extending in the longitudinal direction and having a central width. A first design element is disposed in the central region and includes a visual center point. The strip can also have at least two second design elements. Abstract: Provided are a packing tape, and a method of forming the same, the packing tape including a flexible member having a first surface and a second surface defining a body therebetween having a thickness, a width and a length. The packing tape further includes a tear-away member defined by a first row and a second row of a plurality of perforated members which are parallel to each other and centrally located along the width of the flexible member. The packing tape also includes an adhesive on the second surface of the flexible member.

Abstract: An adhesive stack comprises a shear layer positioned between two adhesive layers. The shear layer, comprised of a weak adhesive sub-layer positioned between substrate sub-layers, is designed to fail upon application of a deliberate and appropriate shear force and before the failure of the adhesive layers. The adhesive sub-layer defines a width and/or length less than a width and/or length of another layer or sub-layer of the adhesive stack. The adhesive stack aids in securing components within an electronic device to prevent movement of the component when the device is dropped, hit, or bumped. The adhesive stack may occupy minimal space within the device, and reduce the cost of securing the component within the device's interior. The adhesive stack may allow for replacement of the component by an authorized person applying an appropriate and deliberate force. The adhesive stack may aid in identifying components replaced by an unauthorized person.

Abstract: A stack of hygiene sheet products including first and second webs that are interfolded with each other. The stack includes a top panel of the first web and a top panel of the second web, wherein the top panel of the first web overlays the top panel of the second web but has been cut away so that the top panel of the second web is revealed by the top panel of the first web. An adherence layer is placed on the top panel of the first web and the top panel of the second web and is exposed at the top of the stack so that it can adhere to an adjacent stack so that when the last sheets of the adjacent stack are pulled through a dispenser opening of a dispenser, the first and second sheets are pulled securely through with it as a result of the direct adherence.

Abstract: Methods and systems for adhering internal components in a portable computing device are described. In some embodiments, an internal component adhesive removal system can include a conforming wrapper. In one embodiment, the conforming wrapper can wrap around a portion of an outer surface of the internal component. The conforming wrapper can secure and at least partially enclose the internal component such that the internal component is sufficiently constrained to protect the internal component from damage during movement of the portable computing device during normal use. In some embodiments, the wrapper comprises one or more shock absorbing features. In some embodiments, the wrapper comprises a feature configured to tear to facilitate removal of the internal component from the portable computing device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a laminated composite and process for making the same. The laminated composite includes at least one wavelength-converting layer and at least one non-emissive layer, wherein a vertical relief gap pattern defines the composite into a plurality of discrete separable portions, and the discrete separable portions are breakably joined by a non-emissive layer. Separation along the relief gap pattern reduces color variation amongst the discrete portions and processes.

Abstract: The present invention provides packaging material for making packages, comprising a breakable film; and a substrate on which the breakable film is positioned, wherein the substrate comprises a chemically resistant and non-heat sealable (NHS) layer having a first surface and a second surface, and a heat sealable (HS) layer bonded to the first surface of the NHS layer, and the breakable film is laminated onto the second surface of the NHS layer, and wherein at least one die cut line to define a preformed hole is formed through the NHS and HS layers. The invention also provides a package produced therefrom and a method for constructing the package.

Abstract: A method for producing a thermoelectric module with a plurality of thermoelectric leg elements, which are electrically connected in series at opposite ends, includes arranging the leg elements on an electrically conducting plate, connecting the leg elements to the electrically conducting plate, and cutting up the electrically conducting plate into a plurality of conductor tracks, which respectively connect two of the leg elements to one another. From a further aspect, a pre-product for the production of a thermoelectric module by such a method includes an electrically conducting plate with a plurality of conductor track regions for the formation of conductor tracks. The electrically conducting plate has a lower mechanical stability in at least one zone of weakness between two conductor track regions than in the conductor track regions.

Abstract: A component having a laser track as a fracture initiation line, said laser track being composed of laser holes formed by a laser beam for preparing for a later separation of the component into individual components. In order to ensure that, upon separation, the fracture always extends along the laser track, fractures deviating from the laser track are avoided, and the fracture edges after fracture are formed evenly and do not have jagged edges, it is proposed that the distance between two adjacent laser holes be less than or equal to the diameter of said laser holes, in each case measured on the surface of the component.

A carrier film is releasably attached to the continuous web of optical film laminate including the polarizing film, through an adhesive layer. A defect inspection is performed for the optical film laminate and the adhesive layer.

Abstract: A pop-up type dispenser is provided for paper towels, in which a specially sized and shaped hole in the dispenser top cooperates with a stack of paper towels housed in the dispenser. The towel stack has at least two interfolded webs of perforated absorbent sheet material in which the perforations of one web are not aligned with the perforations of an adjacent web. The towels may be withdrawn through the opening one sheet at a time, by a user pulling on a first sheet of said one web protruding through said opening without needing to touch a next sheet on the adjacent web or a subsequent sheet on the one web.

Abstract: Laminates are described that contain a frangible layer adhered to at least one extensible layer, such as an elastic layer. In one embodiment, a frangible layer is positioned between two opposing elastic layers. The frangible layer includes lines of separation that generally extend in a first direction. The lines of separation allow the elastic layers to stretch and recover in a direction perpendicular or skew to the lines of separation. In one particular embodiment, the lines of separation comprise lines where the frangible layer has been weakened. The lines of separation can be formed after the laminate is made using groove rolls.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to solid surface sheets and methods of making solid surface sheets, wherein the method comprises dissolving post-consumer recycled polystyrene in a first liquid resin precursor to form a blend, solidifying the blend via curing, grinding the solidified blend into recycled particles, adding the recycled particles and filler into a second liquid resin precursor to produce a solid surface precursor, and molding and curing the solid surface precursor to produce the solid surface sheet.
