  • Patent number: 8192816
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tubular support coil for radial support of resiliently expanded tubing material, made from at least one extruded profile body wound into a plurality of windings, the end faces of the extruded profile body being connected to each other at least in portions in the longitudinal direction of the support coil and interlocked by a ratchet arrangement in the longitudinal direction and by a tongue and groove arrangement in a radial direction. To create an improved support coil, which is inexpensive to produce, reliably withstands exterior pressing forces and can easily be taken apart manually with low releasing forces and removed from the tubing material, it is proposed that the present invention has a rotation prevention means, through which adjacent windings are held secure against rotation.

  • Patent number: 8173237
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for joining two strips, where the two strips each include a laminate of a release liner and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and the release liner extends from the corresponding pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in a longitudinal end region of at least one of the two strips. The method includes butting cross-sections of longitudinal ends of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers of the two strips to bond the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers; and superposing end regions of the release liners of the two strips and fixing the release liners so that surfaces of the release liners in portions at least 1 mm long inward from the longitudinal ends are not in contact with surfaces of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers. This method gives a continuous strip from which the release liner can be smoothly removed without “binding” even at the joint.

Abstract: The floor member is a laminated structure of flexible compressible cork sheet material and flexible plastic sheet material in the form of a floor tile or a floor plank. The cork sheet material and plastic sheet material are offset, from each other and have respective predetermined thicknesses to enable the floor member to be bendable to facilitate assembly of a plurality of the floor members into a floor covering. The compressible cork sheet material provides sound and heat insulation and the flexible plastic sheet material is yieldable to surface irregularities of a floor base. The cork sheet material is sandwiched between two layers of clear plastic material to provide a distinct sight of the structural presence and thickness of the cork sheet at an edge of the floor member.

  • Publication number: 20120009372
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of structural panels, more specifically, but not exclusively, to the field of aircraft fuselage panels. The invention concerns a stiffened panel (10) comprising at least one stiffener (4), known as a longitudinal stiffener, extending substantially from one extremity of the panel to the other and whose trace on the surface of said panel's skin (1) follows a path having non-zero geodesic curvature between the two extremities of said stiffener. This configuration makes it possible to optimize both the panel's stiffness and its resistance to the force flow to which it is subjected in operation by minimizing its mass through an optimum definition of the orientation of the stiffeners relative to said force flow.
