Perimeter Or Corner Structure Of Sheet (excluding Mere Rectangular) Patents (Class 428/81)
  • Patent number: 11685237
Abstract: The invention refers to a light-transmissive plastic plate structure suitable for vehicle sunroof with curved surface and a method for fabricating the same. By using polymer material formulation, UV resistant coating formulation and precision coating technology, the wear resistance of polymer surface of plastic substrate can be improved to the same level as glass, and the original optical and physical properties after various environmental tests can also be maintained. The plastic substrate is first formed into a curved plastic plate through a hot pressing process, and then a connecting structure is formed and fixed on the plastic plate by an insert-molding injection process, in order to replace the traditional car sunroof mechanism which is assembled by glass plate bonded with metal connecting parts.

  • Patent number: 11618236
Abstract: The use of camera-based safety systems is growing at a rapid rate in modern automobiles. At the same time, windshields, where many of the cameras are mounted, are becoming larger and more complex in shape. As the industry moves towards vehicles with full autonomous capability, the number of cameras required and the resolution of the cameras are both increasing. However, the optical quality of the windshield is less than optimal. One of the problems is caused by the typical black enamel frit that is printed on the glass, prior to heating and bending, to hide or obscure the camera hardware. The abrupt thermal gradients during bending, caused by the heat absorbing black frit, result in a high level of distortion in the camera field of view.

Abstract: A toe tap for a tap shoe is characterized by a blunt forward edge which defines a platform for a dance to utilize during dance steps, particularly when the dancer elevates to an elongated pointe position with supported by the tips of the toes. The tap includes a base which has a rear edge extending toward the ball area of the dance shoe and side edges which extend between the front and rear edges. The tap further includes constant perimeter around the side and front portions and a lip extending upwardly from the base at the constant perimeter to enable the dance to execute shuffle and other dance movements with the medial and lateral portions of the foot. A projection further extends from the lip at the front edge. The projection has a flat surface co-planar with the blunt front edge of the base to define a larger platform for supporting the toe tips of the dancer's foot.

Abstract: A snap in weatherstripping where the backing has a plurality of alternating notched out spaces along each side to facilitate ease of insertion into a channel without the need to slide the weatherstripping longitudinally into the channel. The snap in weatherstripping can be pushed into the channel with a gentle side to side or rolling motion, thus eliminating the difficulties associated with longitudinally sliding a weatherstripping into a channel. The snap in arrangement of the weatherstripping eases replacement, and also accommodates variations in tolerance between the weatherstripping and the channel, making it desirable for replacement of existing degraded weatherstripping.

Abstract: A corner fitting preform and a method of forming a corner fitting preform including steps integrally weaving a base or parent material with one or more flanges or legs that extend from the base is disclosed. The flat woven preform includes specially engineered areas within the legs or flanges that have continuous warp yarns which are not woven. The unwoven areas provide a hinge which allows the flanges of the preform to fold around a corner. After folding, the excess unwoven warp yarns are pulled back through the woven portion of the legs or flanges to produce a preform with continuous warp yarn reinforcement around the corner.

Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining and displaying a collimated X-ray image are described. The methods can include providing an X-ray device having an X-ray source, a square or rectangular X-ray detector, and a collimator. The collimator can be sized and shaped to collimate an X-ray beam from the X-ray source that exposes a receptor region on the detector. The collimator can allow the X-ray image received by the X-ray detector to have any suitable shape that allows a relatively large view of the image to be displayed and rotated on the display device without changing the shape or size of the image as it rotated. In some instances, the collimator provides the image with superellipse shapes or cornerless shapes having four substantially straight edges with a 90 degree corner missing between at least two edges that run substantially perpendicular to each other. Other embodiments are described.

The protective-film body has a first surface and a second surface. The first microstructure layer is disposed on the first surface of the protective-film body. The second surface of the protective-film body covers the surface of an electronic device. The hardness of the protective film is between 1 H and 12 H. Thanks to it high surface hardness, the protective film according to the present invention has superior wear and scrape resistance. Thereby, the life time of the protective film is extended and hence ensuring protection of the surface of the electronic device.
