  • Patent number: 9133555
Abstract: An electrolytic cell employs a plastic molded frame component with raised ridges on one surface to create seal with a proton exchange membrane and on the opposite surface a groove with an interlocking feature for accepting a tabbed elastomer gasket. The gasket and frame design when combined with a proton exchange membrane can be stacked in multiple layers using mechanical hardware. The frame captures the softer elastomeric sealing material preventing elastomeric creep and loss of positive seal caused by the relaxation of mechanical hardware under load and internal pressure fluctuations. The addition of the ridged sealing surface provides positive surface contact with the polymeric membrane to further prevent the loss of seal under mechanical load. The interlocking feature reduces assembly time and improves assembly accuracy.

Abstract: An over-current and over-voltage protection circuit for an electronic cigarette, comprising a battery and an interface, a control unit and a charging detection switch unit; the control unit is configured for calculating an actual charging current according to the first working voltage and determining whether the actual charging current exceeds a preset charging current threshold value, and sending a first charging controlling signal to the charging detection switch unit; the control unit is further configured for real-timely detecting an input voltage of the interface, determining whether the input voltage of the interface is in over-voltage status, and controlling a turned-on or turned-off operation of the charging detection switch unit. The over-current over-voltage protection circuit and method eliminate the security risk of the battery pole not having a charging management circuit in the non-normal charging status.

Abstract: There is provided a battery case which is advantageous in enhancing durability of cables or connectors which are arranged inside and outside the battery case. When a motor-driven vehicle 10 comes into collision, in case where structural members such as an engine 14 or a fuel tank 16 existing adjacent to a battery case 40 are displaced so as to approach a tray 50, shorter outer peripheral edges 5602 are butted against these structural members, and shorter side walls 5802 are also butted against the structural members. Therefore, triangular spaces S are secured between the structural members and the tray 50. As the results, it is possible to prevent the structural members from exerting constrained forces on the cables or the connectors, and durability of the cables and connectors can be advantageously enhanced.
