Abstract: The present invention provides deterrent devices for birds and other animals. The device includes a plurality of wires/spikes insertion molded into an elongated plastic base. Each of the wires extends out left and right sides of the base, with alternating angles between 50 and 90°. The bends of at least three sequential wires on the left side of the base are substantially colinear, and the bends of at least three sequential wires on the right side of the base are substantially colinear.

Abstract: A blind cover includes a waterproof layer abutting the ground and a mesh cover. A blind is inserted between the waterproof layer and mesh cover, with the opening of the mesh cover disposed to align with an opening in the blind. The blind and mesh cover are joined together with connection elements such as hook and loop fabric or clips so that the mesh cover and blind can be opened as a singular unit. Environmental plant matter can be inserted between the blind and the mesh cover at any location and at any orientation to produce a more natural look and feel as compared to the current state of the art.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing licking branches to a support structure includes a body suitable for attachment to a support structure, at least one branch holder extending outwardly from the annular body, and securing means for securing a branch in place within the branch holder. The securing means may include a clamp. The body may be an annular body for fitting over the support structure. The body may include a surface for fitting against the support structure with at least one loop operatively connected to the support structure. The angle of each of the at least one branch holder is adjustable.

Abstract: A flying insect deterrence system and device is provided. The flying insect deterrence device may include a rotary element, a vertical column, a cordage, a cordage element, and a motor. The flying insect deterrence system may include a base and an insect deterrence device. The insect deterrence device may include a vertical column, a rotary element, a motor, a cordage, and a cordage element. The rotary device is located on top of the vertical column and is powered by the motor that spins a cordage attached to the rotary device to deter flying insects from flying or landing in the area.

Abstract: A scarecrow includes a scarecrow body corresponding generally in shape to a body of a live animal and an assembled hollow scarecrow head of molded plastic construction corresponding in shape to a head of the live animal. The assembled head includes a front face portion and a separate rear head portion fixed together to form the head, the front face portion having a front receiver and the rear head portion having a rear receiver. The scarecrow includes a motor having a rotatable motor shaft; a mounting insert fixed to the motor with the motor shaft extending below the mounting insert, the mounting insert received by the front receiver and the rear receiver to fix the mounting insert to the head; and a mounting bracket fixed to the scarecrow body and having a motor shaft receiver into which the rotatable motor shaft is received. Rotation of the motor shaft rotates the assembled scarecrow head relative to the scarecrow body.

Abstract: A tree stand hunting blind is comprised of two sides connected by a lower center portion. The blind does not have a roof and does not have a complete front wall. This allows a user to stand up and shoot a firearm or bow in any direction, including directly under the blind or directly above the blind. The bottom platform of a tree stand and the bottom portion of the blind function as a “floor” that helps hide the user from game animals below the blind. The sides of the blind break up the user's silhouette and help hide the user and the tree stand from game animals that are not directly under the blind. Each side of the blind incorporates a window with a moveable shade mechanism that allows them to be fully or partially opened or closed as needed by the user.

Abstract: A hunting blind includes a dome-shaped structure made of weather-resistant material having a plurality of flaps disposed throughout the top side thereof. A plurality of ground stakes is positioned perpendicularly beneath the underside surface of the dome-shaped structure. A plurality of apertures is disposed through at least one (1) of the flaps, each capable of receiving a portion of a decoy therein.

Abstract: A remote monitor for wild animal trap, including a receiving monitoring host, a transmitting apparatus and a magnetic-sensitive switch. The host includes a VHF/VHF receiving module, LED state indicator lamps for indicating trap states and a first single chip microcomputer for processing signals, which are electrically connected. Each host can be connected with more than one transmitting apparatus through a wireless communication technology. The transmitting apparatus includes a VHF/UHF transmitting module, electric quantity indicator lamps and a second single chip microcomputer for processing signals.

Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capture devices and methods of operation are disclosed. A UAV capture device may include a netting system including a net launch device and a net, a propulsion system including a plurality of propellers coupled to one or more motors, a positioning system, a camera system, and a processing system coupled to the netting system, the propulsion system, the positioning system, and the camera system. The processing system may include logic to operate the propulsion system to autonomously navigate to a general location of a target UAV, to operate the propulsion system to pursue the target UAV, to deploy the netting system to propel the net at the target UAV, and to confirm if the target UAV is captured in the net. The drone capture device includes a middle post and a plurality of foldable frame arms; the middle post includes a first end and a second end; and each foldable frame arm includes a plurality of ribs and a plurality of links. A method of capturing a drone includes providing a drone capture aerial vehicle, the drone capture aerial vehicle having a drone capture device and the drone capture device having a foldable capture net; flying the drone capture aerial vehicle toward the drone; activating the drone capture device to deploy the foldable capture net; and capturing the drone with the capture net.

Abstract: A scent-masking mixture and method for making and using that mixture are disclosed. That scent masking mixture includes an “Earth Scent” fragrance, eucalyptus essence, peppermint essence, rosemary essence, clove essence, and water. The majority of the scent-masking mixture may be water while the largest amount of active ingredient might be the “Earth Scent” fragrance. The scent-masking mixture beneficially includes equal amounts of eucalyptus essence and rosemary essence. Preferably there is more peppermint essence than clove essence.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, kits, and devices for improving cognitive function and memory through olfactory stimulation. In some embodiments, olfactory stimulation is performed by releasing one or more scents according to an olfactory stimulation regimen or schedule. The methods, kits and devices described herein can provide a large impact on cognition with minimal effort and cost. They can be used widely and effectively among older adults, children, and other populations in need of improved cognitive performance.

Abstract: A small unmanned air vehicle repulsing apparatus includes a capturing body adapted to capture a drone, a target to be captured; and a capturing body launching apparatus adapted to launch the capturing body at the drone, in which the capturing body launching apparatus can quickly capture the drone by launching the capturing body even if the suspicious drone flies into an area to be protected so as to protect the interest and safety of law-abiding people.

Abstract: An archery practice field tip and related method of use is provided, where the field tip has a first shape that is structurally different from a second shape of an actual hunting broadhead, but where the tip mimics the aerodynamics and flight characteristics of the hunting broadhead. The practice tip can be void of sharpened cutting edges, and can include a head on drag promoting element and/or a crosswind drag promoting element, either of which can be scoops, flanges, fins, holes and the like. The tip can have a head on aerodynamic drag that is within 40%, within 25%, within 10% and/or within 5% of the first head on aerodynamic drag of the hunting broadhead. The practice tip can have a crosswind aerodynamic drag that is within 40%, within 25%, within 10% and/or within 5% of the crosswind aerodynamic drag of the hunting broadhead.

Abstract: A device and method for vaporizing game liquid attractants are provided. The vaporizing device has a container suitable for holding vaporizable liquid therein, a wick, a transducer operably connected to a power supply, and a controller. Vaporizable liquid, preferably game attractant or a mixture thereof is drawn to the transducer by the wick. When supplied with electrical current from the power supply, the transducer oscillates at a high frequency sufficient to vaporize the vaporizable liquid drawn to the transducer via cavitation. Once vaporized, game attractant vapor may be diffused or propelled through an outlet in the container to the external hunting environment.

Abstract: Disclosed are devices for eliminating airborne and crawling insect pests including a base carrying a membrane ring and insect feeding pool; a stem mounted to the base having a lower portion that covers the membrane ring; a reservoir positioned atop the stem, the reservoir adapted to contain liquid bait; stress duct openings disposed in the stem for metering flow of the liquid bait from the reservoir to the insect feeding pool; and a cover positioned atop the reservoir and extending radially outward therefrom to span and cover the base, the cover housing at least one of a metered bioattractant dispenser, a metered biopathogen dispenser, a light source, and a solar panel. Also disclosed are pest control device cover assemblies configured for attachment to existing pest control device(s) that allow for enhanced elimination airborne and crawling insect pests.

Abstract: An attractant scent dispenser (1) having a preferably rounded bulb-shaped reservoir (2) that is filled with a liquid attractant (3), such as deer urine. A wick (4) extends from a distal end (5) of the reservoir and an eyelet (6) or other attaching means for attaching a cord (7) is located at a proximal end (8) of the reservoir. A hunter may use the cord to drag the reservoir on the ground to disperse a trail of attractant scent while the bulb shape of the reservoir prevents the attractant scent dispenser from becoming tangled in any debris on the ground.

Abstract: A scent dispersing boot is provided having a vertically aligned pocket attached to the upper, wherein the pocket is biased in an open position and apertured to allow air to circulate. A wick is impregnated with a game-attracting scent and inserted in the pocket. The pocket is particularly suited for use with spike wicks, having a head and a leg, wherein the leg is dipped in a liquid, game-attracting scent and inserted in the pocket with the leg of the wick extending from the bottom of the pocket.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind including a chair and a canopy frame draped with a cover. A spring interconnects the chair and the canopy frame for rotating the canopy frame backwardly so that the cover is no longer above the seat of the chair. A quick spring release triggered by a user with his elbow or arm is provided on an arm rest of the chair. In the moment that the canopy frame is rotated, the user may take a shot from a seated or standing position in the blind.

Abstract: A highly portable, modular hunting blind which adapts to different hunting areas by utilizing local grass and other vegetation for 3-D camouflage and cover purposes. A retaining mechanism or plurality of retaining mechanisms is utilized to retain the mating ends proximate each other. Each half of the blind includes a plurality of slots through which a gun barrel can be inserted or through which an arrow can be shot. The blind can optionally include a door in either half or both halves for ingress into and egress from the blind. Because the halves of the blinds can nest within each other, the cost of transportation can be significantly reduced relative to a blind with a monolithic wall construction.

The back side of the holder removably holds a scent containing bottle in an inverted position at the rear portion of the boot, the bottle having a cap with a sponge that extends a distance below the bottom of the boot heel to engage the ground surface and is compressed to deposit an amount of the scent onto the ground each time a step is taken to leave a scented trail to attract animals, or mask the smell of a human. The bottle may be removed and hung from another object.

The directional rattle has a whorled portion on the rod that makes contact with concentric rings within the housing of the rattle. The manipulation of the rod within the housing results in a more authentic sound that resonates out of the bell shaped portion at the bottom that gives the sound a directional flow out and away from the device attracting game animals.

Abstract: An animal attracting apparatus comprising a water source, a collection tube pivotable vertically between an upwardly disposed first position and a downwardly disposed second position, and a rotatable shaft attached to the collection tube for concomitant rotation therewith. Animal attractant devices are mounted to the shaft for concomitant rotation therewith. In operation, water gravity flows from the water source into the collection tube. After water in the collection tube reaches a predetermined level, the collection tube pivots from the first position to the second position and dispenses water from the collection tube. After water in the collection tube is dispensed, the collection tube pivots from the second position back to the first position to be refilled by water. As the collection tube pivots, the collection tube rotates the shaft. As the shaft rotates, the animal attractant devices are actuated to emit animal attractants.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a temperature regulated, pressure activated liquid scent dispenser. The pressure in the interior of the container may increase as ambient temperature increases. A release structure of the container may release a portion of the liquid scent once a threshold pressure or threshold amount of pressure build-up is reached in the interior of the container. A method comprises filling the interior volume with a liquid scent so that the interior volume also includes a volume of air, suspending the dispenser over a ground surface, and dispensing the liquid scent from the interior volume through the release structure. Due to an increase of pressure of the volume of air, and upon reaching a threshold air pressure, the release structure releases a portion of the liquid scent from the interior volume. Applications may include dispensing animal attractant or repellent.

This construction enables the conductors to be co-extruded with the body thereby avoiding the need for further fastening devices and enables manufacture in a single operation.

Abstract: A telescopic wading staff with a full size, integral fishnet is disclosed. The preferred embodiment includes a retractable, extensible pole that can be moved between a first, fully compacted (retracted) configuration for transport or storage and second, fully extended configuration for wading, especially when traversing a stream or riverbed for fly-fishing. Other embodiments include a hook extension from the lower staff end for retrieving tangled lines, lures and the like.

Abstract: A programmable, mechanical scrape making device that is battery operated and that can be fastened to the ground. When activated, the device comes in contact with the ground to create a scrape through a sweeping and/or linear motion that is the same as or similar to that of an actual scrape that is performed by deer during the Rut or breeding season. The device also has a scent spraying mechanism that operates as the scrape is made. The device can be enclosed and operate from a weatherproof case which may be designed to look like a tree log. The design of the case can vary in appearance as to create a look that is indigenous to the end users' geographic area. The device is portable and may include a carrying case with a shoulder strap allowing the end user to transport the device from one location to another. The device may include power ports accessible for other devices such as motion detecting digital cameras and mock licking branches.

The braided elements can be mechanically attached using a simple sewing operation in which the braid is sewn to the base. Because of the mechanical attachment and the ability of the braided elements to flex in both contraction and extension, the device of this invention can be used in tight corners and other contorted locations without having the wires of the typical prior art device pull free of the base.
