Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a temperature regulated, pressure activated liquid scent dispenser. The pressure in the interior of the container may increase as ambient temperature increases. A release structure of the container may release a portion of the liquid scent once a threshold pressure or threshold amount of pressure build-up is reached in the interior of the container. A method comprises filling the interior volume with a liquid scent so that the interior volume also includes a volume of air, suspending the dispenser over a ground surface, and dispensing the liquid scent from the interior volume through the release structure. Due to an increase of pressure of the volume of air, and upon reaching a threshold air pressure, the release structure releases a portion of the liquid scent from the interior volume. Applications may include dispensing animal attractant or repellent.

Abstract: A deterrent device for delivering an electric shock to an animal, pest or bird to be deterred, having the typical components of a non-conductive base to which the electrically conductive elements are attached. Instead of the typically-used copper wire, however, the braided elements comprise smaller strands of a conductive material, such as copper, aluminum or stainless steel wire, is used and is mechanically attached to the non-conductive base. The braided elements can be mechanically attached using a simple sewing operation in which the braid is sewn to the base. Because of the mechanical attachment and the ability of the braided elements to flex in both contraction and extension, the device of this invention can be used in tight corners and other contorted locations without having the wires of the typical prior art device pull free of the base.

Abstract: A deer conditioning system uses a feeder that has a lid that automatically opens at a specified time, namely the start of hunting hours, and closes at a specified time, the end of hunting hours. When the lid is open, the system dispenses a deer pleasing stimuli so as to attract deer, the deer being rewarded by the contents of the feeder for responding to the stimuli. Alternately, in a typical always open feeder, either a deer attracting stimuli dispenser is provided and is programmed to release stimuli during hunting hours or a deer repulsing stimuli dispenser is provided and programmed to release stimuli during non-hunting hours upon motion being detected proximate the feeder via a motion detector, or both types of dispensers are provided and appropriately programmed.

Abstract: A scent distribution system, method, and device for distributing lure. There is a gun, including: a barrel portion, having a chamber disposed therein; and a handle portion, coupled to the barrel portion and extending substantially orthogonal therefrom; and a first projectile including a luring scent configured to lure prey, disposed within the chamber of the barrel portion. The handle portion comprises a storage compartment disposed within the handle portion. There is a second scented projectile, disposed in the storage compartment. The storage compartment is air-tight. The first projectile comprises an absorbent portion including a fluid scent disposed therein. The first projectile includes a flexible portion disposed at a back-end of the projectile and configured to provide air-flow resistance when disposed within the chamber, thereby permitting the projectile to be launched by an imbalance in air pressure.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind that includes a sheet depicting an animal on a front side, a plurality of rods coupled to a back side for supporting the sheet, and an opening in the sheet suitable for extending equipment therethrough. A sideways-T configured opening in the sheet, a rest for supporting an item of equipment within the opening, and flaps cut into the sheet for air to pass through also are disclosed.

Abstract: A game attracting apparatus comprises a pole, a flag and an actuator. The pole has a lower end and a top end displaced from the lower end. The flag includes a tip, a mounting location, an outer side and an underside. The flag is configured to resemble the shape and color of a deer's tail when viewed from the underside and is mounted at the mounting location to the pole at a location above the lower end. The actuator is coupled to the flag adjacent the tip of the flag. The flag, pole and actuator are configured to induce the flag to hang from the pole with the tip downward so that the outer side is presented toward a desired direction when the actuator is not actuated and so that, during actuation of the actuator, the tip of the flag moves upwardly so that the underside of the flag is presented toward the desired direction.

Abstract: A scent lure is configured as a reusable container with two separate compartments, one for a scent wick and one for a disposable heating element. The compartments are separated by a common dividing wall and are independently accessible for ease of use. The separate compartments allow the heating element to be removed and/or replaced without contact with the scent wick and vice versa. Preferably, the heating compartment has vents to facilitate continued activation of a heating element during use. The vents are preferably configured to provide a chimney effect that creates a heated air flow over the sent wick for enhancing the lure's effectiveness.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispersing a scent from a scent container, such as is typically used for hunting, is disclosed. The housing of the apparatus has at least one air inlet aperture and at least one air outlet aperture. A container attachment means is adapted for holding the scent container on a front wall of the housing. A fan is fixed within the housing and electrically connected to a battery and a switch. When the fan is electrically connected to the battery through the switch, the fan draws air from the air inlet aperture through the housing and out through the air outlet aperture, the fan blowing air across an opening of the scent container to mix air with the scent and to blow the mixture away from the housing. The apparatus includes a wrist strap to hand carry or suspend the apparatus from an object, and an arm attachment means.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a fishing pole includes a rod having a proximal end and a distal end, where the proximal end receives a grip and the distal end includes at least one line guide for receiving a fishing line. The grip of certain embodiments includes a flexible mounting tube that engages the proximal end of the rod and a sheet including a polymer outside layer and a fibrous inside layer. In some embodiments, the sheet has a configuration corresponding to the exterior shape of the flexible mounting tube, being wrapped about and adhered to the mounting tube, with the side edges of the sheet abutting one another to define a substantially longitudinal seam extending from the interior surface of the sheet to the exterior surface of the polymer layer. In some embodiments, the grip includes a tube and a strip that is spirally wrapped around the tube to form a substantially helical seam.

Abstract: A method of protecting a pre-defined, at least partially open area, such as a outdoor deck, patio or gazebo, from mosquitoes and other biting insects by removing the scents emitted by humans and pets that occupy the pre-defined area. The scents (Carbon Dioxide, Lactic Acid, as well as other body odors and scents) from humans and animals are either vacuumed and exhausted to an area away from the pre-defined area, or pushed out of the predefined area, thus making it difficult or impossible for a mosquito or other biting insect to identify that humans or pets are occupying the pre-defined area. This method is environmentally friendly, does not emit chemicals or poisons, and allows the occupants of the protected, pre-defined, unenclosed area to enjoy the out of doors without having to have windows, roofs, or screens obscuring airflow and the view of the landscape or heavens.

Abstract: A scented trail apparatus for applying a scent trail across selected terrain and luring animals along the scent trail to a blind or observation area, which apparatus includes a scent canister secured at one end of the trail and containing an animal scent lure; a reel apparatus located at the other end of the trail; a scent carrier for insertion in the scent canister and receiving a quantity of the animal lure scent in the scent canister; and a line connecting the reel and the scent carrier. A cap typically encloses the scent carrier and a segment of the line inside the scent canister and the scent carrier is caused to traverse the trail by operation of the reel to apply a residue of animal lure scent along the scent trail. A line depressor may be used to depress the line and the scent carrier on or close to the ground while the scent carrier and line are manually pulled from the reel to the scent canister.

The total number of the counting members can be equal to the permissible limit of the regulated species of fish. When an individual fish is caught, a counting member can be moved by the angler along the longitudinal axis of the cord so that an axial end of the counting member abuts the axial end of an adjacent counting member such that the movement of the counting element will indicate when the permissible limit is reached.

Embodiments of the present invention are implanted in triploid grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) to facilitate control of aquatic weeds in bodies of water. When the carp have been in the water for a pre-established approximate period of time, toxins in the device are dispensed via long term bioerosion of the sealed opening in the packaging. Otherwise, the carp may destroy all vegetation and harm the aquatic environment for other aquatic life. Several alternative bioerodible seal configurations are provided as embodiments.

The blind is configured to resemble a large tree trunk and may be adapted to blend into the natural surroundings of any wooded environment. The blind includes a covering that closely resembles the bark of a tree, and includes a plurality of apertures for viewing wildlife. At least one of the apertures may include an extension adapted to resemble a broken tree limb. The covering also includes an opening into a partial enclosure that is sized to receive a human.

Alternatively, the portable, prefabricated hunter's blind may be placed within a pickup truck to be hauled thereby. A four-wheel, off-road vehicle is placed within the portable shooting shed and over four disassembled legs of the assembly and other elements associated with the shed. By positioning the four-wheel off-road vehicle on top of all elements of the shed, the undesirable movement of the parts of the pre-fabricated structure during hauling is minimized.

An additional amount of liquid scent is returned to the reservoir via the first orifice.

The tent-like enclosure is provided with one or more fabric coverings each bearing at least one color or camouflage pattern. The coverings are easily removable from the enclosure, and may be reversible, bearing one color or camouflage pattern on one side, and a different color or camouflage pattern on the reverse side. In this fashion, the same portable enclosure can be made to present a variety of appearances, depending on which covering is attached to the enclosure, and which side of the attached covering is exposed or outermost.

Abstract: The present invention is a lure optimized for a particular animal such as deer. The optimized lure is made using urine from only two animals urinating at approximately the same time. The animals can be either male or female, but preferably, females in estrus are used for optimal results. This mixture of urine is not diluted in any manner with that of additional animals or preservatives. The urine for the lure is obtained by using a single stall exclusively for only two animals for the purpose of gathering urine. This technique has been especially effective in attracting wandering bucks in rut.

Preferably the first connection point is a hole through which the rope can be run and tied off. The cutting edge is arranged so that it will slide toward the first connection point and sever the rope when the apparatus realizes a tensional force.

Abstract: A dispenser for scents and aromas is disclosed. The dispenser includes at least one pad that is impregnated with a scent material. The pad is fitted in two opposing segments that fit together in a telescoping manner that form an airtight seal to prevent the scent material from evaporating or leaking. The segments are connected by a flexible strap that also serves as a hanger for the dispenser when it is deployed to dispense the scent material.

Abstract: A bird repelling device has an elongate housing having a slide chamber that extends longitudinally from a top end to a bottom end of the elongate housing. The elongate housing also has a cap positioned adjacent to the top end of the slide chamber. A plurality of rod apertures extend through the cap. The bird repelling device also includes a slide mechanism that is adapted to slidably engage the slide chamber to slide between a retracted position and an extended position. A plurality of bird repelling rods are each attached to the slide mechanism and extend through one of the plurality of rod apertures. The bird repelling device also includes top and bottom attachment loops for attaching the bird repelling device to a halyard of a mast.
