Abstract: A quick set fishing rig and fish hook for live bait is disclosed. The hook includes a main portion, at least one hook portion, and a shank for releasably anchoring the hook into the body of the live bait. The shank extends substantially straight out from the main body portion of the hook and preferably has at least one stabilizing fin provided thereon. The shank is inserted under the skin of the live bait, thus anchoring the hook portions on the live bait. The stabilizing fins of the shank prevent the hook from rotating about the shank axis while in use, and assists the hook to quickly release from the bait when a fisherman or woman sets the hook. The hook is preferably used in connection with a rig providing for the adjustability of the length between a front single hook of the rig and the hook of the present invention.

Abstract: The Power Hook, Force Flies and Lures invention and its application is disclosed. The power hook is a conductive fish hook wherein the electromagnetic field about the said hook is charged by addition of a conductive winding which is insulated from the said hook. The power hook improvement can be applied to all styles of fishing hooks to suit all styles of fishing, such as, but not limited to, fly fishing, lure fishing or bait fishing. The invention can embody a fishing lure with similar electromagnetic enhancement with attached hook or hooks.

Abstract: This invention relates to the use of polymeric-based materials to make fish hooks for producing clear, translucent, or colored fish hook devices. Additionally, this invention provides for a medium to place scented materials for the purpose of attracting prey.

Abstract: A fishhook adapted to be used in a clustered arrangement, with each hook of the cluster mounted for pivotal movement so as to be able to minify the chance of entanglement with weeds or trash. The novel fishhook array made possible in accordance with this invention also enables a highly advantageous weathervaning characteristics of each individually attached hook/lure entity, such that each is maintained in a natural horizontal attitude. Each hook has an upper shank portion extending at an angle downwardly from the eye of the hook, with the upper shank portion forming a forwardly curved shoulder portion with the integral lure-receiving lower shank portion. This curved forward shoulder portion forms an acute angle, such that the lower shank portion is able to reside in a generally horizontal position when the hook is suspended from the eye.
