Color Imaging Process Patents (Class 430/357)
  • Patent number: 4254210
Abstract: To reduce silver coating weight in photographic silver halide elements (e.g., medical X-ray films) the density of the silver image is increased by forming a black-toned, direct positive image in a photopolymer layer on the reverse side from the silver image.

  • Patent number: 4252892
Abstract: A poly(alkyleneimine), such as poly(ethyleneimine), is incorporated in a photographic color developer composition containing a primary aromatic amino color developing agent in order to protect the developing agent against aerial oxidation. The poly(alkyleneimine) also functions to reduce tar formation and retard stain growth and provides a supplemental source of alkalinity in the color developer composition.

  • Patent number: 4239842
Abstract: An improved color filter array comprises a transparent heat-transfer dye-receiving layer containing an array of filter elements wherein the dye-receiving layer is a certain polyester wherein at least 30 mole percent of the recurring units contain a saturated gem-bivalent radical having a saturated polycyclic three-dimensional structure that includes a saturated bicyclic atomic bridge hydrocarbon ring member. The improved dye-receiving layers provide filter elements with excellent edge sharpness. The improved color filter arrays are useful in color imaging devices, such as solid-state video cameras.

  • Patent number: 4216146
Abstract: Novel azo(hydrazo)-anthraquinone compounds and their preparation are provided. These compounds are of the general formula ##STR1## where R is hydrogen or at least one substituent, T.sub.1 is hydrogen, an hydroxy or alkoxy group or an amino or substituted amino group, R.sub.1 is hydrogen or halogen, an alkoxy, an amino or substituted amino group, an aryl or substituted aryl group, or a group conferring solubility in water and R.sub.2 is a group which comprises an azo linkage and a ballasting group or is a group which completes the hydrazo link and which comprises a ballasting group. The new compounds are useful in the photographic field, especially in the photographic dye diffusion transfer process for the production of photographic images.

  • Patent number: 4194911
Abstract: An inhibitor removing bath for effecting color formation in a color positive development process which bath comprises a color accelerating agent, a contrast control agent and a pH control agent. The inhibitor removing bath may further contain in a preferred embodiment a color reversal agent. A complete color photographic development process using this inhibitor removing bath is found to provide color positive transparencies of excellent quality.
