Abstract: A photochromic polyurethane film of improved light fatigue resistance is disclosed. A stabilizer system combining two hindered amine light stabilizers and one phenolic antioxidant is incorporated in the photochromic polyurethane film in an amount so that the film will have more than 40% of light fatigue improvement and less than 6 units in &Dgr;b* of CIELAB system after a given light fatigue test. The film can be conveniently laminated between two transparent plastic sheets and incorporated into a plastic article.

Abstract: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, wherein the silver halide emulsion layer contains a silver halide emulsion consisting of tabular silver halide grains not containing a cavity extending through two major planes opposing each other and having an average aspect ratio of 1.5 or more, except that 20% or more of the tabular silver halide grains started to be developed containing a cavity extending through the major planes when the silver halide emulsion was developed with a color developer containing a silver halide solvent and a p-phenylenediamine-based color developing agent for 60 sec. A method for forming images includes the step of performing color development for the material for 25 to 90 sec by using a color developing solution containing thiosulfate, methanethiosulfonate, thiocyanate or at least one of the silver halide solvents represented by the formula (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) each defined in the specification.
Abstract: A processing method for silver halide photographic material is disclosed, in which at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a dye of a solid fine grain dispersion. The processing method is carried out by processing the photographic material with a solution having a fixing ability containing at least one compound represented by formula (A):RSO.sub.2 SM (A)wherein R represents an aliphatic group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and M represents a hydrogen atom or a cation group.
Abstract: Photographic compound (A) capable, upon oxidative coupling, of forming a dye, comprises in the coupling position, a coupling-off group that comprises in sequence, a releasable benzotriazole group attached to a triazole, tetrazole, oxadiazole, thiaoxadiazole, or thiadiazole inhibitor group represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.a, R.sub.b, R.sub.c R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and Q are as defined in the application. Such a compound (A) is useful in a photographic silver halide material and process to provide improved images.

Abstract: A presensitized lithographic printing plate precursor is described, comprising an aluminum support that has been rendered hydrophilic having provided thereon a light-sensitive layer composed of a light-sensitive composition comprising (1) an organic solvent-soluble and substantially water-insoluble diazo resin, (2) a substantially water-insoluble, film-forming polymeric compound, and at least one of (3a) an organic solvent-soluble polymeric compound having a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonic acid salt group in its side chain and (3b) a substituted or unsubstituted dipicolinic acid or a salt thereof, the total amount of (3a) and (3b) components being about 1 to about 100% by weight, based on the weight of the diazo resin.
Abstract: An aqueous photographic tri-color processing monobath, which includes a color developer and a fixing agent, and which has a pH of about 10.6, is capable of color developing and fixing an exposed photographic film, without requiring any bleaching of the developed film. Moreover, apparently due to the compact morphology of the residual silver, it has been discovered that a monobath of the type disclosed is suitable for producing both an unobscured dye image and a silver plus dye sound track in a single processing step.
