Concentrated Or Viscosity Increasing Agent Containing Patents (Class 430/466)
  • Patent number: 4680247
Abstract: Photographic processing compositions containing a light-reflecting pigment and a styrene-butadiene copolymer are disclosed. The photographic processing compositions are useful in photographic diffusion transfer film units and processes for the provision of permanent photographic laminates. A light-reflecting layer formed in a photographic laminate from such a processing composition exhibits a reduced tendency toward cohesion or adhesion failure and separation.

  • Patent number: 4546069
Abstract: The processing time of exposed photographic silver dye bleach materials is shortened by using a bleach preparation which contains a strong acid, a water-soluble iodide, a water-soluble organic nitro compound, an anti-oxidizing agent, a bleach catalyst, an organic photographic developing agent and/or a benzotriazole derivate.

  • Patent number: 4501812
Abstract: Color developer composition packaged in two or more concentrated parts, which on mixing with water give a ready-for-use silver halide developer solution, one part thereof comprising an aqueous concentrated solution containing a N-hydroxyalkylsubstituted p-phenylene diamine salt developing agent and a sulfite compound, said aqueous concentrated solution having a pH from 6 to 8. In particular, said N-hydroxyalkyl-substituted p-phenylene diamine developing agent is a 4-amino-3-methyl-N-ethyl-N-(.beta.-hydroxyethyl)-aniline and the molar ratio of the sulfite compound to the developing agent is higher than 1.5:1.

  • Patent number: 4397996
Abstract: A process for preparing polymeric oximes and photographic processing compositions containing polymeric oximes are described. The polymeric oximes are prepared by a process which comprises: introducing into an aqueous polymerization medium a portion of a polymerizable monomer to be polymerized, said polymerizable monomer having the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, benzyl or phenyl, R.sup.2 is alkyl of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, benzyl or phenyl, alkylene is a divalent alkylene radical having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, and R.sup.

  • Patent number: 4298681
Abstract: An N,N, disubstituted p-phenylenediamine salt of a phosphoric acid selected from the group consisting of ortho-phosphoric acid, pyrophosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acid. Such a phosphate is incorporated as a color developing agent in a liquid packaged developer concentrate which subsequently is mixed with other materials contained in a multi-package receptacle and the mixture is diluted with water to form a color developer working solution (bath) for developing a colored film. The developer concentrate has the advantage that the color developing agent therein does not tend to deteriorate upon standing, as do present-day widely used commercial N,N, disubstituted p-phenylenediamine color developing agents in developer liquid concentrates, e.g.

  • Patent number: 4276370
Abstract: Novel photographic processing compositions including a polymeric oxime viscosity-increasing reagent for processing an exposed film unit to provide a photographic image. While this photographic image may be in black-and-white or in color and prepared by any of the heretofore known systems, of particular interest are color diffusion transfer systems for preparing a color image viewable without separation of any of the components or layers of the photographic product. The invention also includes a novel class of polymeric oximes which may be employed in such compositions.
