Stress Breaker Patents (Class 433/169)
  • Patent number: 4324549
Abstract: The invention has two main parts. First, there is an assembly of elements including a prefabricated precision stud, or male element, preferably made of metal, as stainless steel for example, securely anchored by a specially designed cap fitting onto a prepared matching outer end of a tooth, and a second assembly of elements including a prefabricated thimble, or female part, preferably made of plastic material. The thimble element is provided, at its outer upper region, with burrs, or projections, so that the thimble element may be rigidly held in the denture material, but the skirt or lower region of the thimble element does not contact the denture material and may thus flex, or stretch, circumferentially, and thus expand radially, to receive the stud element with a snap action, so that the two main parts are snap retained to each other.

  • Patent number: 4324550
Abstract: An implant for the jaw includes an implant body, to be fixed without bone cement, a bed made of plastics material and an implant support for receiving the suprastructure. In order to reduce the specific load on the bone the implant body is provided with support ribs, which have the profile of a bone screw. The bed, providing a flexible layer between the implant body and support is frusto-conical towards its lower end and is spread by the implant support, when said support is screwed in.This construction provides for secure anchorage of the implant body into the bone as well as of the bed and the implant support into the implant body.

  • Patent number: 4318696
Abstract: The present invention provides an implant artificial denture comprising an intra-ossal implant implanted in the jaw, an elastic material fitted over the head of the intra-ossal implant, a crown of tooth and, if required, a receiver fitted over the head of the intra-ossal implant, wherein the receiver prevents the elastic material from falling off when chewing and masticatory pressure or shock is applied thereto and the elastic material absorbs the chewing and masticatory pressure or shock applied thereto to prevent lesion of the surrounding tissue, and further provides an implant artificial denture equipped with a chewing load limit sensing device incorporated therein, which aids in preventing lesion of the surrounding tissue.

  • Patent number: 4215986
Abstract: An arrangement for the shock-absorbent mounting and support of a dental superstructure, such as a tooth crown, a fastening element for dental bridges and the like, on an artificial tooth having an implantable root and an intermediate member of a tissue-compatible material facilitating a sealing contact with the gingiva, a mounting member for the dental superstructure having a detachable threaded connection interconnecting the intermediate member with the mounting member. A rockable support encompasses the threaded connection so as to form a hollow space there-about, the rockable support extending into a lip sealingly engaged along an outer edge on an upper surface of the intermediate member.
