By Cavity In Tooth For Base Material Patents (Class 433/192)
  • Patent number: 11793614
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a denture includes: preparing an artificial tooth and a denture base with a concave socket; applying an adhesive to the concave socket; and embedding the artificial tooth in the concave socket to which the adhesive is applied. A socket groove is defined on an inner surface defining the concave socket. The socket groove extends from a concave bottom surface of the concave socket facing a basal surface of the artificial tooth to a lingual concave side surface of the concave socket. Embedding the artificial tooth in the concave socket includes: forming a discharge hole to discharge the adhesive, the discharge hole being defined at an end of the socket groove on a lingual outer surface of the denture base; and discharging the adhesive from the discharge hole.

  • Patent number: 9113986
Abstract: The denture has the root of an artificial tooth embedded in a denture base molded from plastic. The artificial tooth is provided with a through-hole in the root that fills with denture base plastic, and the openings at both ends of the through-hole are embedded in the denture base. Further, both ends of the through-hole open at artificial tooth surfaces that face adjacent teeth, and an air-vent is provided that connects with the through-hole. The opening for the air-vent is positioned on a lingual side surface of the artificial tooth that is exposed from the denture base. Plastic that forms the denture base flows into the through-hole and air-vent embedding and retaining the root of the artificial tooth in the denture base.

  • Publication number: 20100196851
Abstract: A tooth replacement system (1, 2, 3) is proposed that comprises an implant (10, 20, 30), for osseointegration in a jaw bone, and an abutment (40, 50, 60), wherein an abutment stem (41) comprising a close-fit cylinder (42) can be fitted in a corresponding cylindrical close-fit seat (14) of a receiving opening (11) in the implant. The present invention makes available a tooth replacement system which comprises an implant and an abutment and which ensures an optimized introduction of force from the abutment into the implant and permits complete freedom in terms of the choice of material. The implants and also the abutments can be made from titanium or ceramic, and both structural parts can be used in all possible material combinations. This permits for the first time the insertion or adhesive bonding of ceramic abutments into implants made from titanium oxide or other metallic materials.

  • Patent number: 5632621
Abstract: A denture of the present invention includes a molded, plastic dental plate in which is mounted at least one anterior artificial tooth. The anterior artificial tooth includes a base surface and a concealed portion which are mounted in a base portion of the dental plate. The anterior artificial tooth also includes an incisal edge, a lingual surface and a buccal surface. Formed in the interior of the anterior artificial tooth is a passageway substantially elliptical in cross section which extends vertically from the base surface to the lingual surface, spaced apart from the incisal edge. The material from which the dental plate is manufactured extends from the base of the dental plate through the passageway and extends one lingual surface of the anterior artificial tooth, to form an integral dental plate base, column and lingual coating. The coating extends contiguously over the lingual surface of adjacent anterior artificial teeth.

  • Patent number: 5501598
Abstract: A denture tooth system (10) for a partially or completely edentulous patient, comprising a block of denture teeth (12), each tooth including enlarged undercut surfaces (14) disposed thereupon to permit greater mechanical retention to a rigid base to which the block (12) is secured. The denture tooth system (10) also includes a reduced gingival contour (16) to accommodate implanted attachments or bars and one or more teeth opposing the block. Each one or more posterior opposing teeth includes an enlarged central fossa (20). The block (12) is positioned and configured so that only a lingual cusp (22) of a given maxillary posterior tooth occludes with the central fossa (20) of one of the one or more opposing mandibular posterior teeth in centric occlusion.

  • Patent number: 4957438
Abstract: A dental coupling assembly for anchoring a prosthesis in the mouth in which a holding member has a recess defined by a straight right circular cylindrical wall and a closed bottom which confronts the outer right circular cylindrical wall of a plug member whose end receivable within the recess is likewise closed so that the plug member forms a displacement body for displacing a fluid adhesive throughout the cylindrical gap between the two members and between the bottom wall of the recess and the end surface of the plug. Because the walls are cylindrical and not undercut or tapered, the parts can be machined with greater precision and ease while allowing adjustment because of the adhesive field gap. The T-shaped slots and other lateral openings need not be provided.

A basal surface is of a concave shape in engagement with a more convex shape than the shape in cross-section of the alveolar ridge. One or two proximal surfaces of the basal surface is or are provided at the substantial center with an occlusally inclined smooth groove having a width of 1.5 to 5.0 mm, a maximum depth of 0.5 to 3.0 mm, and an proximal upper end located away from the highest position. The occlusal surface has a mesiodistal length substantially equal to that of a natural tooth and a W.sub.2 /W.sub.1 ratio falling in the range of 55 to 95% of that of a natural tooth, wherein W.sub.1 is the mesiodistal length and W.sub.2 is the buccolingual length.
