Abstract: Systems and methods for online assisted pre-intervention or “prevention” are described. A prevention system may provide the ability to initiate a prevention campaign in order to create a customized support forum for persons who may be afflicted by a harmful addiction. The prevention system can receive a request to initiate a campaign for a recipient from a host and facilitate the invitation of other participants to the campaign. Knowledge-based questionnaires may be dynamically generated for the host and participants, and a profile built for the recipient based on received responses. Customized messages may be generated by the prevention system using expert knowledge-based rules, and delivered to the recipient. The messages may be unique to the recipient based on the recipient's circumstances and relationship to the host and participants. Support services provided by the prevention system encourage the recipient to agree to accept help and provide action plan recommendations.

Abstract: The invention describes a system and method for allowing an individual to view an educational program remotely. In the preferred embodiment, the invention is used as a healthcare education system. The system comprises a file server which is connected to a database holding the educational programs. A remote interface connected to the file server allows an administrator to assign educational programs to an individual. The remote interface also includes a memory card writer which records the individual's identification code and the address of the file server on a memory card. The individual is given the memory card to take home. When the individual places the memory card in the memory card reader of a multimedia processor, the processor uses the file server address to automatically connect to the file server. The file server receives the individual's identification code from the processor, retrieves the corresponding educational program from the database, and sends the program to the processor to be displayed.

Abstract: A system for enabling real time live proctoring of an exam across a distributed network includes a first remote computer. The first remote computer is capable of real time audio visual capture and display of an image of a user of the first remote computer. A second remote computer is capable of real time audio visual capture and display of an image of the user of the second remote computer. A server is in communication with the first remote computer and the second remote computer, and provides an interactive web based scheduling portal accessible from the first remote computer and the second remote computer. A database is associated with the server for storing data regarding the rules for proctoring of an exam including the rate at which an exam may be proctored at a given date and time.

Abstract: An interactive networked classroom system including a teacher workstation with a base application, and one or more code segments. Each code segment includes a teacher version and a student version. The code segments include API links to a base application at the teacher workstation, or to helper functions such as plug-ins to the base application, such that the student version of the code segment has different rights, typically fewer and less powerful rights, than the teacher version of the same code segment. The teacher workstation forwards the student version of a code segment to student workstations that are in communication with the teacher workstation over a network facility; the student code segments may be embedded in a document corresponding to a classroom activity. Through the use of an electronic time management device, such as a cell phone or other portable digital computer based device programmed to support this method, the user enters information about a task which is then verified and “banked points” are given for correct entry.
