Publication number: 20130309650Abstract: A note taking binder gives the user the ability to take notes while dealing neither with the cumbersome tablet PC interface, nor with the fear of running out of battery life. The notes taken with the note taking binder can be photographed more easily than standard pencil and paper notes due to the thickness of the dry erase pages that make up the binder. The pages can also be erased more easily so that the pages can be reused numerous times. This gives the user practically all the benefits of taking and storing notes digitally on his or her digital device of choice. The binder is better than taking notes on a digital device because the notes can be taken and remain visible for extended periods of time without fear of battery depletion. Moreover, the binder allows the user to erase individual characters or diagrams as they are writing.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2013Publication date: November 21, 2013Inventor: Peter William Carney

Patent number: 6328571Abstract: A wall mounted rail system with movable boards comprises a pair of elongate rails. Each rail has an upwardly opening channel defining an upper track and a downwardly opening channel defining a lower track, the rails being horizontally mounted in parallel spaced apart relationship on a wall surface so that one of the rails defines an upper rail and the other rail defines a lower rail. The board is movably mounting to the rails. An upper bracket is secured to a top of the board and has a guide element received in the upper track of the upper rail. A lower bracket is secured to a bottom of the board and has a guide element received in the lower track of the lower rail.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1999Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Bretford Manufacturing Inc.Inventors: Dennis J. Patent number: 6164976Abstract: A creativity center includes a base portion that is connected by a hinge to a board that has opposed drawing/design surfaces on which artistic designs and markings can be made. The board can rotate with respect to the base via the hinge and can be slid with respect to the hinge such that the board can be repeatedly flipped over and slid between two opposed "use" positions with respect to the base. Thus, an opposed drawing/design surface configured in a "use" position is presented to a user each time the board is flipped over. An eraser can be located on either the base or on the hinge to automatically remove designs or markings located on the board when the board is slid through the hinge. In addition, the base can include a storage compartment for storing art supplies.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1999Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Mattel, Inc.Inventor: Martin Wilson

Patent number: 5941713Abstract: A mobile marker board unit has a wheeled base which mounts a pair of upright and vertically enlarged marker boards. The marker boards, as they project upwardly, are rearwardly sloped to define a triangular storage space between the marker boards. This storage space is accessible from at least one end of the unit, and is preferably provided with structure which permits storage therein. A slidable tray arrangement is mounted adjacent the lower edge of each marker board and can be moved between open and closed positions. Each tray arrangement includes an outer tray disposed directly adjacent the lower edge of the marker board and positioned for support of articles thereon. This outer tray is fixedly joined to an enlarged inner tray which is normally stored in a closed position between the marker boards, with the tray assembly being slidable into an outer position wherein the inner tray projects outwardly from the marker board adjacent the lower edge thereof.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1997Date of Patent: August 24, 1999Assignee: Haworth, Inc.Inventors: Robert C.
