The adjustable mannequin head comprises the cranial structure, a plurality of bolts, an anchor structure, and an orientation structure. The cranial structure supports the postiche during the hairdressing activities. The plurality of bolts adjusts the shape of the exterior surfaces of the cranial structure. The anchor structure secures the plurality of bolts into position. The orientation structure provides a hairdresser with cues that allow the hairdresser to envision better how the postiche will look.

The grid head forms have flat backs which are magnetized so they can be attached to a magnetic blackboard or metal sheet. The system also includes numerous flat magnetic or adhesive strips with pointed ends. The strips are cut to certain lengths and color coded to represent different hairdressing techniques. In a preferred embodiment, a grid head form is attached to a magnetic board and the flat magnetic strips are then attached to the board around the grid head form to both define cutting lines and show proper hair length for a plurality of prescribed hair styles.

Each player has a frame with a plurality of cavities for receiving and depicting the decorative portions of the cards. A player wins the game by being the first to fill all of the cavities in her frame with cards having decorative portions of the same design. A replica of an outfitted mannequin is formed on the front face of the frame. Several windows of transparent material are formed in the front face of the frame within the replica of the mannequin so that the decorative portions of the cards which are inserted in the frame will be visible as portions of the outfit of the mannequin.

In one form, the edge is created by forming a flat face on the headblock and on the other form by defining a concavity in the face area of the headblock, the concavity having an upper wall which presents an edge for use in styling. The method of using the apparatus involves utilizing such a headblock by placing a hair replacement over the scalp area of the headblock with a portion of the hair replacement extending over the edge and then styling the hair replacement and leaving a portion of the hair replacement extending over the edge after styling so that when placed upon the head of the user the hair replacement will have a natural appearance.
