Abstract: The present invention provides an electrical connector which includes an insulative body and a plurality of terminals. In addition, the insulative body has at least a receiving hole for the insertion of an electrical device, and each receiving hole has a plurality of terminals. Moreover, the plurality of terminals has a horizontal portion and a vertical portion perpendicular to one another; the horizontal portion has a contact portion, and the bottom of the vertical portion has a conductive portion. Furthermore, the insulative body has a fixing portion protruding from an end opposite to the receiving hole, and the fixing portion has a positioning structure for locating the vertical portion of the terminal, and the electrical connector has a base for mate with the positioning structure to fix the terminals in the positioning structure.
Abstract: A brush block is provided for transmitting currents to a slip ring using at least one multi-wire slip element with a plurality of parallel connected multi-wire slip elements that are distributed one behind the other in the direction of slip following an imaginary curve. The brush block has a multi-wire slip element support with a curved inner wall on which the multi-wire slip elements are disposed in layers that overlap in scale-like fashion.
Abstract: The present invention provides a USB cord organizer, including a stationary base with a USB port and an electronically coupled USB cord extending from the base. A caddy for holding and storing multiple spare USB cords is rotatably mounted on the top of the base. The caddy includes a number of cleats attached to a rotatable central port. Each of the cleats has a pair of projecting horns that engage and secure a spare USB cord when it is wrapped around the cleat. The ends of each spare USB cord are secured by a pair of clips disposed adjacent a respective pair of projecting horns. The organizer provides a USB extension cord built into a USB cord storage caddy.
Abstract: A portable electronic device and an external module thereof. The portable electronic device comprises a host and an external module detachably connected thereto. The external module comprises a connector assembly and a connection pin rotatable on the same axis, such that the external module can hinge rotated between a horizontal position and a downward position with respect to the notebook computer, enabling access to the connectors on the portable electronic device.
Abstract: A module and a method for estimating signal direction of arrival are disclosed. The module consists of a processing unit and a direction finder. Using spatial signatures at different carrier frequencies, the processing unit generates a generating set of a subspace. Based on the generating set, the signal subspace is extended. Then, the direction finder estimates signal direction of arrival according to the signal subspace. The module for estimating signal direction of arrival of the present invention effectively reduces wrong estimation of the signal direction of arrival caused by loss of rank.

Abstract: A swivel assembly for a downhole tool string comprises a first and second coaxial housing cooperatively arranged. The first housing comprises a first transmission element in communication with surface equipment. The second housing comprises a second transmission element in communication with the first transmission element. The second housing further comprises a third transmission element adapted for communication with a network integrated into the downhole tool string. The second housing may be rotational and adapted to transmit a signal between the downhole network and the first housing. Electronic circuitry is in communication with at least one of the transmission elements. The electronic circuitry may be externally mounted to the first or second housing. Further, the electronic circuitry may be internally mounted in the second housing. The electronic circuitry may be disposed in a recess in either first or second housing of the swivel.

Abstract: A dual-nature, uni-constructed device, suitable for conducting electricity between two objects in relative motion, comprises two compatible elements each having a straight section and a sinuous section. The two elements are combined to form a unified whole whereby the two straight sections are mutually servable as a brush component and the two sinuous sections are mutually servable as a spring component. The inventive device is associable with an electrical or electromechanical machine so that, during machine operation, the brush component slidingly contacts a first machine part, the spring component is affixed to a second machine part and exerts a bias against the brush component, and the inventive device conducts electrical current from one machine part to the other machine part. Each element includes an electrically conductive main layer (including one or more wire fabric sheets) and two elastomeric outside layers (on opposite sides of the sinuous section).

Abstract: A reorientable electrical outlet having a housing cavity in a stationary housing and a rotatable electrical female receptacle seated therein is disclosed. Preferably, the rotatable female electrical receptacle includes a set of electrical conductors situated in electrical isolation from one another, arranged one above the other. In one embodiment, the housing cavity has a set of annular conductive structures formed one above the other to support provide a set of electrically conductive pathways along which slideable contacts rotateably track. Another embodiment places annular conductive structures on the female receptacle. Such structures slideably track on fixed contacts in the housing cavity.
Abstract: A reorientable electrical expansion outlet is disclosed having a housing with a housing cavity and rotatable electrical female receptacles seated therein. A plug is provided for connection to another outlet for expanding the other outlet. Preferably, each rotatable female electrical receptacle includes a set of electrical conductors situated in electrical isolation from one another, arranged one above the other. Abstract: The progressive die tooling component carrier is adapted to serve as a hinge connection between the components that it connects. The carrier allows for the reeling of a series of components for storage and transportation without causing the warping or bending of the components. Preferably, the hinge connection is achieved by providing the carrier with a compression, a perforation, or both a compression and a perforation. The carrier is designed to further minimize the scrap resulting from the removal of the carrier from the adjoining components.
Abstract: A rotatable adapter device with multiple connectors includes a main body, a first electrical connector, a plurality of second electrical connectors and a conducting unit. The first electrical connector is disposed rotatably on the main body, the plurality of second electrical connectors are disposed fixedly on the main body and the conducting unit is electrically connected to the first electrical connector and at least one of the second electrical connectors. Therefore, it has a transforming function and is more convenient for a user. Moreover, its design avoids the signal lines becoming intertwined with each other when they are inserted into the adapter.

Abstract: A slip ring assembly for allowing electrical or electronic signal transfer between a stationary device and a rotating device includes a ring assembly and a brush assembly. The ring assembly comprises a plurality of assembled rings and spacers of selected widths positioned on a longitudinal tube having a slot and a hollow center. The tube may be provided with one or more bearings to allow the tube to be smoothly rotatable in a housing. A plurality of brushes unitarily formed with a plurality of connector pins are held by a brush holder which is removably received in the housing. The connector pins are configured to receive a standard male or female connector. The housing is typically incorporated into a body of a stationary device, and the tube may be attached to or incorporated into a rotating component of an electronic or electrical device.
Abstract: A brush assembly is formed from a single metallic foil positioned within a base portion. The foil is folded or rolled up into a plurality of closely spaced foil layers soldered to the base portion of the brush assembly. Attachment of the folded foil to the brush base portion involves use of barrier tape and/or adhesive on the folded side of the foil layers and soldering of one layer edge to the base portion which is received within a holder to position the folded foil in brushing contact along the other layer edges with a running surface under a spring bias pressure. The brush may be constructed by metal fiber braids placed on or between metal skins to form a hybrid structure. The brush assembly may be applicable to slip ring current collectors or other electric contact applications, including cleansing brush applications involving other types of brushes.

Abstract: An electromechanical plug device is designed with a mating plug connector for electrical and mechanical connection with a mating plug connector. The plug connector comprises an outgoing cable part with a circuit substrate and a contact carrying drum able to be moved in relation to the outgoing cable part. The drum possesses first plug contacts for making contact with second plug contacts formed on the mating plug connector. Abstract: An omnidirectionally adjustable wall lamp plug is disclosed. A conductor element has a vertical surface at the lateral side thereof. The conductor element is formed by bending from a body of the conductor element. A contact element has a vertical side at the lateral side thereof. The union end of one pin in the plug base resists against the vertical surface of the conductor element, and a buckling edge along each of the two sides of the union end is inserted into the plug base. A connection washer end is bent from one end of a small pin resists against the vertical surface of the conductor element. Thereby, when the wall lamp rotates through 360 degrees. A compartment at ground potential at least partially encloses the slip ring and the fixed conducting ring assembly. A source directs a fluid into the compartment so that the fluid travels through into the conductive ring channel to perform at least one of cooling and cleaning of the slip ring contacting members. Abstract: An output terminal board of this invention is capable of improving easy and simple installation of an electric rotating machine and wiring output harnesses so as to avoid thermal influence from a stator. The electric rotating machine 2 for vehicle acting as a moter or a generator includes brackets 7 and 15 on both front side (pulley side) and rear side of a stator. Further, the electric rotating machine 2 includes a stator three-phase output line output portion and is provided with an output terminal board 8 at one bracket 7, the output terminal board 8 having a terminal for connecting the three-phase output harnesses 6 connected to an external controller. This output terminal board 8 is disposed in such a manner as being capable of joining to the bracket 7 side on which the output terminal board 8 is mounted, and the three output harnesses 6 are taken out substantially in parallel to one another.
Abstract: A hinge assembly (2100) includes a hinge body (2102) made of two hinge body halves (900). Each hinge body half is identical so that only one part need be manufactured, and two of them used to form the hinge body. Each hinge body half has a first leg (902) that is longer than a second leg (904). The first leg has a retaining lip (912) at the end which forms a retaining feature. Each leg of the hinge body defines an axis of rotation for the body elements (104, 106). A portion (1508) of a flexible circuit board (1506) is captured between the hinge body halves so as to electrically interconnect circuitry placed in each body element. A detent mechanism is provided to hold the body element in preselected positions with respect to each other, and includes a spring (2106), a cam (2108) and a cap (2110) having cam follower features (2118). The cam is held in place with respect to the body element housing, while the cap is fixed in position with respect to the hinge body.

Abstract: A rotary connector assembly for an electrical apparatus on a rotating component is presented. The rotary connector assembly has a fixed base for mounting the assembly within the rotating component. The rotary connector assembly is rotatable relative to the rotating component. The attachment has an annular flange at the outer periphery and a mechanism that contacts the flange and supports the rotary connector portion. Connections at the base have terminations to attach incoming wiring and at the rotary portion to attach wiring to the electrical apparatus.

Abstract: An electrical joint that couples electric signals and current between objects that move relative to one another. A conductive slurry is disposed upon a first object and a conductor extends from a second object to engage the conductive slurry. The slurry comprises conductive particle suspended in a fluid carrying agent, such as oil. A non-conductive gel may be disposed upon the exposed surface of the conductive slurry to retain and protect it. The conductive slurry and non-conductive gel may be disposed within a channel on the object's surface so as to define their position and retain them in the desired area. The position of the conductive slurry is oriented and aligned to maintain continuous contact with the conductor as movement occurs. Linear, planar, circular and other movements are contemplated. The electrical joint can be readily adapted to printed circuit and printed wire technology.
Abstract: In order to improve a proximity switch comprising a bearing body with a bearing opening, a sensor head having a proximity sensor with a sensor circuit arranged therein, a bearing attachment piece held on the sensor head and mounted in the bearing opening for rotation about an axis, and a plug connection having a connection side arranged on a side of the bearing attachment piece opposite the sensor head and comprising a connection sleeve and a contact insert arranged in the connection sleeve, such that a plug connector is connectable to the plug connection in a way which in terms of ergonomics is as suitable as possible, it is proposed that the connection sleeve be held non-rotatably in the bearing attachment piece and that the contact insert be mounted in the connection sleeve for rotation relative thereto.

Abstract: The present invention is an improved electrical cylindrical circuit collector ring assembly. The assembly includes an axial stack of multiple torodial-shaped spacer members and at least one electrical conductor ring member. The spacer members each include one insulating face and one electrically conductive face. The ring assembly also includes a general adhesive for mounting the insulator face to the ring members and an electrically conductive adhesive for mounting the conductive face to the ring members and for mounting ring members to ring members where applicable. The ring assembly also includes a radial extension on each of the conductive faces of the spacer members beyond the ring member diameter providing for an electrical connecting point. Finally, radial tabs provide lead wire channels and means of improved electrical shielding.
Abstract: A rotor case on a charge adapter has a first rotational position for holding a cellular phone in an upright position, and a second rotational position for holding a cellular phone in a tilted position. The upright position is suitable for holding the cellular phone during charging only, while the tilted position holds the cellular phone while permitting connection of a data connector to the bottom of the cellular phone. The rotor case has a generally prismatic shape with an eccentrically located rotational connection to the remainder of the charge adapter. The eccentric rotational location moves the center of gravity of the cellular phone to maintain stable positioning of the center of gravity of the cellular phone in both the upright charging-only position and the tilted charging-communicating position.
Abstract: A connector adapter that can be used to directly connect a peripheral device to a host device. The connector adapter is adjustable so as to allow selective reorientation of the peripheral with respect to the host device. The connector adapter includes a limiting mechanism that restricts the degree to which the adapter can be selectively rotated. In addition, the adapter includes an indexing mechanism that allows the position of the adapter to be locked in predetermined positions. In one embodiment, the connector adapter is partially formed from a compliant material so that the adapter can bend when submitted to an external force, and thereby resist breakage. Abstract: A rotary connector assembly for an electrical apparatus on a rotating component is presented. The rotary connector assembly has a fixed base for mounting the assembly within the rotating component. The rotary connector assembly is rotatable relative to the rotating component. The attachment has an annular flange at the outer periphery and a mechanism that contacts the flange and supports the rotary connector portion. Connections at the base have terminations to attach incoming wiring and at the rotary portion to attach wiring to the electrical apparatus.
