Abstract: A plug connector (100) configured for latching with a receptacle having a latching tab includes a housing (1) defining a top wall (14) and two opposite sidewalls (13), and a releasing mechanism (2) assembled to the housing. The releasing mechanism includes a pair of sliders (21) movably attached to the sidewalls, and an extension spring (25) attached to the top wall. The spring has two free ends (250) respectively connected to the sliders. Each of the sliders includes a narrowed and protruded actuating end (211) adapted for releasing the latching tab of the receptacle from the plug connector when the slider moves from a first position to a second position. The movement of the sliders elongates the spring into an extended state at the second position. The extended spring tends to restore the sliders to the first position.

Abstract: An electrical card connector includes an insulative housing, a number of contacts and a push-push mechanism. The push-push mechanism includes a slider, an elastic member for driving the slider and a locking arm fixed to the slider. The locking arm includes a hook protruding into a card receiving space for locking with the card when the card is fully inserted into the card receiving space at a card locking position. When the card is ejected under a normal speed, the locking arm can be outwardly deformed to disengage from the card at a card release position. When the card is ejected under an abnormal speed faster than the normal speed, the slider gets over the card release position where the locking arm is restricted by a stop member to prevent the hook from releasing the card.

The slide pin performs the operation of pushing up the contact terminal contacting the sensor as well as the operation of pushing the sensor out of the medical device. Since the contact terminal is completely lifted up by the inclined surface of the upper end part of the slide pin before the sensor is discarded, there occurs no reaction due to rebound of the contact terminal which might occur at the moment when the contact terminal of the connector is separated from the sensor, and thereby the sensor can be discarded so as to fall freely.
