Abstract: A connector to be detachably fitted with a flexible printed circuit board or a flexible flat cable includes a required number of contacts, a housing for holding and fixing therein the contacts, and a slider for pressing the circuit board or flat cable against the contacts. The housing is provided with anchoring portions at locations corresponding to connection portions of the contacts. Connection portions of the contacts are each formed with an oblique recess to engage the anchoring portion of the housing. When the contact is being inserted into an insertion groove of the housing, a contact portion of the contact comes into contact with an upper wall of the insertion groove, but on proceeding of the insertion, the contact portion of the contact will return into parallel with the insertion groove with the aid of guidance of the engagement of the oblique recess with the anchoring portion of the housing without any oblique positioning of contacts, thereby achieving stable electrical connection of the connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (2) for receiving a sheet-like connection member, a plurality of electrical contacts (4) received in the housing, and an operation member (3) mounted onto the housing. The housing has a lower wall (24) and an upper wall (22) opposite to the lower wall. The upper wall forms a plurality of second ribs on a bottom thereof. Each second rib forms a curved end (226) exposed outwardly from an edge (222) of the upper wall. The operation member forms an elongate pressing portion (324) at a bottom thereof, and a channel (322) defined in a main face thereof opposite from the pressing portion. The operation member is rotatable from an open position to a closed position, with the channel pivoting about the curved ends of the first ribs of the housing, thereby pressing the connection member upon the contact arms of the contacts.

Abstract: The present invention provides a connector able to be made thin so as to satisfy the needs of making an electronic device further light in weight, thin, short and compact. Therefore, the connector has a connector main body having a housing for storing a contactor and having an opening portion, and an actuator rotatably supported with respect to the connector main body. A flexible cable inserted into the opening portion and the contactor come in press contact with each other by the actuator and are electrically connected to each other in the rotation of the actuator. A metallic cover for covering a portion of the housing and having a receiving portion is arranged in the connector main body. When the actuator makes the flexible cable inserted into the opening portion come in press contact with the contactor, the receiving portion receives reaction force of the press contact. Thus, the thin type connector can be provided.

Abstract: A test socket for testing memory modules requires little or no insertion force. A base holds a funnel-shaped guide that guides the edge of the memory module into a desired position. Two housing halves are connected to the base by one or more hinges. The housing halves pivot around the hinges to open and close the test socket. Linkages, springs, or solenoids move the housing halves. Metal contact pads on flexible membranes are attached to each housing half and clamp onto contact pads on an inserted memory module when the housing halves are closed. Scooped vise clamps can be used to pinch together the ends of the housing halves to close the test socket. More test sockets can be fitted into a smaller pitch using the scooped vise clamps since the solenoids are along the longer axis of the test socket.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a memory card adapter structure, comprising a main body and a baseboard. The main body is overlapped on the baseboard and has a socket on one end. The socket can host different types of memory cards. There are multi PIN receptacles in the socket. On the baseboard, there is a containing hole against the PIN receptacles on the main body. Furthermore, there is a connector at one side of the baseboard. When the main body is coupled with the baseboard, the PIN receptacles will enter into the containing hole, and then the PINs in the receptacle will contact with the baseboard to form a closed circuit. In this way, different memory cards can be connected to the adapter to transfer signals and data at different times.
