Abstract: Security systems, including shields, adapters, and/or tools, for limiting access to a coaxial cable connector are provided. A shield comprises an outer shield configured to limit access to the coaxial cable connector. The coaxial cable connector comprises a fastener portion that is configured to be rotatable with respect to a body portion of the coaxial cable connector. The shield further comprises an adapter configured to be coupled to the outer shield. The adapter is configured to engage a side of the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector. The adapter is further configured to engage a tool configured to rotate the adapter such that, when engaged with both the tool and the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector, the adapter is configured to rotate the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector upon rotation of the adapter by the tool.

Abstract: A coaxial connector assembly includes a coaxial cable connector and a shield for the connector, the shield including spring fingers adjustably engaging the connector.
Abstract: The field terminable patch connector of the present invention comprises three separable upper and lower body or housing portions, two of which have a detent structure which permits the three housing portions to be assembled and locked together into a rigid assembly. The third housing portion is a contact insulator which has a multiplicity of slots and protrusions capable of retaining eight contacts for receiving eight conductors of a four pair cable. In addition, a metal shield is provided which fits between both the upper housing portion and contact insulator portion. This metal shield portion shields (e.g., electrically isolates) the four pairs of conductors from one another and is held in position by the same aforementioned detents. When properly field terminated and used with a Category 5 compliant cable, the patch connector of the present invention meets or exceeds the EIA/TIA TSB-36 Category 5 transmission requirements when used with 110 type connector blocks.
Abstract: A top shield arrangement for elongated filter traps, comprising an elongated sleeve member adapted to receive through one and thereof at least one filter trap such that the filter trap lies completely inside the sleeve member. The sleeve member is formed at the other end thereof for preventing withdrawal of the filter trap from the other end. A wafer seal is inserted into the sleeve member at the one end of the sleeve member for preventing unauthorized removal of the filter trap from the sleeve member through the one end thereof. The top shield arrangement of the invention protects filter traps against tampering by unauthorized persons.
