Abstract: A lamp shaft of a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) lamp fixing in a wire connection casing composes a fixing base and an inserting shaft. The fixing base is coupled and secured to a through hole on the lateral side of a wire connection casing. An inserting shaft is inserted into the through hole of the fixing base. By rotating the inserting shaft, the embedding member and the slanted elastic plate are driven to press tighter and tighter with each other and forces the embedding base to be securely fixed onto the fixing base. Such arrangement can reduce the transportation and storage amount of material since the wire connection casing and the inserting shaft can be detached and disposed separately. Furthermore, when the user carries the lamp, he/she does not need other tools for assembly, and it attains the function of facilitating the user's DIY assembly.

Abstract: A communication line adapter assembly is used for converting an existing wall phone mounting plate into a filtered outlet jack for use with DSL lines. The adapter has a housing that fits over the existing studs of a wall plate for a wall phone, and has a spring loaded latch which latches the assembly in position when the adapter housing is mounted over the existing studs. The latch holds the head of a stud from being removed by preventing sliding of the stud along the mounting slots in the direction for release. A filter is carried on the adapter housing, and a cover plate that replicates the positioning of the telephone wall mounting studs is mounted over the adapter housing.

Abstract: A connector (10) is provided that is mountable in cutout (82) of a panel (80) and incrementally movable therein. First flanges (30) of a first layer (28) pass through recesses (84) along sides of the cutout (82) until second flanges (38) of a second layer (36) abut the near surface of the panel adjacent the recesses. The connector is then translated laterally to a fully mounted position until stop member (44) seats in a locking position with respect to an edge (96) of the cutout, thus maintaining the connector in its fully mounted position with first and second flange layers sandwiching portions of the panel therebetween, and preventing the connector from moving inadvertently to its initially inserted position. Mating connectors (10,100) mounted on respective panels (80,170) define an ultra low mated height permitting the panels to be very close together.

  • Patent number: 6162065
Abstract: A connector for joining a printed circuit board (202) having an army of contact pads (204) to a connector (200) incorporating flexibe circuits (210) with mating contact pads (212), by means of a button and dovetail type interaction between the board and connector. A post (206) projects from the surface of the board. Each post has an enlarged head so that the post resembles a button. The head, when mated with a slot (220) on the connector, achieves a camming action resulting in a predetermined normal force versus insertin position relationship. A compliant member (224), preferably a fluid filled bladder, is supported by a beam member (208) and interposed between the beam member and the array of flexible circuit contact pads. A dovetail slot provided in the beam member is shaped to receive the corresponding post and has a precisely shaped cam race surface which engages the head of post. Such arrangement urges the contact pads on flexible circuit against the mating contact pads on the printed circuit board.
