Abstract: Barrel connectors, a right angled adaptor and a single ended fitting include at least one axially displaceable traveling sleeve for insuring electrical continuity with coaxial connector, nominally an F-connector. Each barrel connector described comprises a rigid, metallic hollow body housing an internal contact tube. At least one coiled spring is retained within the body. At least one elongated, tubular traveling sleeve is coaxially disposed within each body end and normally biased outwardly by the springs. The metallic traveling sleeves comprise an elongated shank that contacts the spring, and a head that seats against the connector body ends during installation. Catches or rings defined upon or mounted to travelling sleeve shanks are received within suitable grooves for anchoring the traveling sleeves while facilitating limited axial displacements.

Abstract: Coaxial cable connectors. In one example embodiment, a coaxial cable connector for terminating a coaxial cable is provided. The coaxial cable includes an inner conductor, an insulating layer, an outer conductor, and a jacket. The coaxial cable connector includes an internal connector structure, an external connector structure, and a conductive pin. The external connector structure cooperates with the internal connector structure to define a cylindrical gap that is configured to receive an increased-diameter section of the outer conductor. The external connector structure is configured to be clamped around the increased-diameter section so as to radially compress the increased-diameter section between the external connector structure and the internal connector structure. The conductive pin is configured to deform the inner conductor.

Abstract: A coaxial connector for interconnection with a coaxial cable with a solid outer conductor by friction welding is provided with a monolithic connector body with a bore. A sidewall of the bore is provided with an inward annular projection angled toward a cable end of the bore. A sidewall of the inward annular projection and the sidewall of the bore form an annular friction groove open to a cable end of the bore. The annular friction groove is dimensioned with a taper at a connector end of the friction groove less than a thickness of a leading end of the outer conductor. The taper provides an annular material chamber between the leading end of the outer conductor, when seated in the friction groove, and the connector end of the friction groove.
