  • Patent number: 11962111
Abstract: An electrical connector is provided that includes a first conductor for receiving electrical power. A first seal is coupled to the first conductor for protecting the first conductor. An insulating body is coupled to the first conductor, and includes an electrical terminal that establishes electrical connections between the first conductor and a plurality of electrical terminal pins. A downhole cable is coupled to a first electrical terminal pin of the plurality of electrical terminal pins. The first electrical terminal pin establishes an electrical connection between the electrical terminal and the downhole cable to provide the electric power to the downhole cable. A second seal is coupled to the downhole cable for protecting the electrical connection between the electrical terminal and the downhole cable.

  • Publication number: 20070275600
Abstract: A lamp socket includes a first shell, a second shell combined with the first shell, a separation plate rested on a bottom of the first shell and the second shell, a base secured to the separation plate, an electronic unit mounted in the first shell and electrically connected to the base to supply an electric current to the base, a light-regulating unit mounted in the second shell and electrically connected to the electronic unit to regulate the electric current from the electronic unit to the base. Thus, the electronic unit is used to provide a current to light the electric bulb, and the light-regulating unit is used to regulate the current value of the electric bulb, so that the lamp socket has a stageless light-regulating function.

  • Patent number: 4983131
Abstract: A pre-molded electrical plug body to house male electrical blades and electrical plug wires, comprising a pair of identical pre-molded electrical plug body pieces mated together, each piece having blade receiving means for snugly receiving male electrical blades, a pair of posts nested together with corresponding posts of the mating piece to form a central pillar around which electrical plug wires are led to the male electrical blades, and a pair of pins received into corresponding recesses of the mating piece that cooperate with the pair of posts to arrest therebetween electrical plug wires led to the male electrical blades; and a method of manufacturing an electrical plug having a body formed from two identical pre-molded pieces.

  • Patent number: 4703987
Abstract: A deformable plastic strip (44') is longitudinally slotted (60) along one edge to define a plurality of laterally separated longitudinal columns (62), cut, and then rolled into a tubular sleeve to form a retention member (44) which is configured to be coaxially driven into an annular passageway (72) formed between an insert (24) and a connector shell (10), engagement of the slotted end portion with an axial shell face (16) causing the columns to axially collapse in accordion like fashion and radially wedge themselves into the passageway whereby to interferencingly retain the insert in the shell.

  • Patent number: 4686333
Abstract: An inner rectangular housing insertable into a cavity of an outer rectangular housing has latching projections on sidewalls near the bottom to latch into latching recesses on inside surfaces of the sidewalls of the outer housing near the cavity entrance. Endwalls of the inner housing have stress ledges near the bottom to deflect outwardly the endwalls of the outer housing to generate permanent tension which is transferred by integral wall corners to the sidewalls of the outer housing to urge them inwardly to maintain the latched condition of the projections and recesses. Such latching and tensioning is useful in the type of electrical switch assemblies whose housings are under long-term stress, vibration and/or heat even when bonded and sealed.

  • Patent number: 4684187
Abstract: A retention article for retaining closely-spaced terminals in a connector housing is formed having a stiff water-like article of thermoplastic material and elastomeric material therearound, with a plurality of holes extending therethrough. A pair of arcuate, partly converging wall sections partly surround each hole of said water-like article and extend forwardly from a planar section thereof having forward ends acting as stop surfaces to engage a stop shoulder on each terminal inserted therein. Elastomeric material forward of the planar section surrounds and abuts the outside surfaces of the wall sections, so that when a terminal is inserted into a hole of the retention article it slightly expands the stiff wall sections apart until the stop shoulder passes the forward ends, and the elastomeric material acts to urge the wall sections together against the terminal behind the stop shoulder.

The connector is comprised of at least two separate housings, a first housing comprising two rows of cavities disposed longitudinally and adjacent to each other. Each of the cavities is fitted with an electrical contact lug, one extremity of which is shaped for the fastening of a wire conductor, the other extremity being shaped as a contact member. At least one second housing contains at least one row of cavities fitted with contact lugs similar to those in the first housing. The first housing has a shelf member which extends transversely away from a front end. Each of the housings is provided with guiding and locking means to aid in joining, then locking, the housings together. Openings are provided in the shelf member and in the front end of the first housing to enable communication with the contact lugs from locations external of the connector.
