    Abstract: A connector includes a terminal configured to be connected to a wire, a plate-like housing has a terminal accommodating portion configured to accommodate the terminal, the housing having a ceiling wall portion that blocks an upper of a front portion of the terminal accommodating portion and an opening portion which is opened at an upper of a rear portion of the terminal accommodating portion, and a cover configured to cover the opening portion of the terminal accommodating portion when the cover is assembled to the housing. A protruding portion is provided on a front end portion of the cover. The protruding portion presses the terminal located in a primary locking position forward in the front-rear direction to move the terminal from the primary locking position to a regular insertion position when the cover is assembled to the housing.

    Abstract: A multi-core cable assembly is formed by arranging a plurality of cables side by side and connecting the cables to a substrate 30 which is a connection member. Each of ground bars 16, 27 are electrically connected to a ground pad 31 of the substrate 30. The ground bars 16, 27 adjacent to each other are disposed to be shifted in a longitudinal direction of the cable. In addition, two ground bars 16, 27 interposing the other one ground bar and positioned at both sides thereof are disposed in a position overlapped in the longitudinal direction of the cables.

    Abstract: A connector includes: a housing man body including a rib extending frontward; a front holder fitted into the housing main body from the front, and capable of moving from a temporary locking position to a permanent locking position, and the front holder including a through-hole into which the rib is inserted; means for temporarily locking the front holder; and means for permanently locking the front holder. The rib is long enough for a front end of the rib to agree with, or jut out from, a rear end surface of the front holder which is located rearward in an insertion direction of the front holder while the front holder is held in the temporary locking position. The housing main body includes bendable lances for locking their corresponding terminals inserted into the housing main body. The front holder includes lance pressing part restricting the bends of the corresponding bendable lances.

    Abstract: A prong structure of a plug is made from a rectangular unfolded strip which decreases waste material to a minimum during manufacture. The prong is formed by doubling over the rectangular strip with a lateral base portion formed at the bottom of both sides thereof. One wing of the lateral base portion of the prong is a lateral tie segment with a clip formed at the end, in which the clip is folded to form a U-shaped groove along the short side of the rectangular strip, for fixing a cord therein by closing the groove from both sides. The other wing of the lateral base portion of the prong is a lateral supporting lug, in which a tongue shaped assistant lug is punched out at the root, so that is can be bent to the clip side to fill the space left by a folded portion of the clipping lug to form a stable supporting base.
