Plural Receptacles With Each Having Screw-thread-coupling Contact Patents (Class 439/648)
  • Patent number: 6808425
Abstract: A lamp socket for holding an electric light bulb having a screw-threaded base, comprising a body defining therein a receptacle for receiving and locating the light bulb by its base about an axis, and two moulded part-cylindrical socket members located within the receptacle and arranged in an annular manner about the axis. The socket members have on their inner surfaces screw threads for engaging the base of the light bulb. A pair of electrical contacts is arranged within the receptacle for contact by respective side and end terminals on the base of the light bulb. The body is formed by two separate parts, with the first part formed with an aperture to define an open end of the receptacle and the second part having a solid wall to define a closed end of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5213519
Abstract: An electrical receptacle arrangement to receive light bulbs, power cord plugs and the like including two electrically conductive wires, each wire having a serpentine configuration, the wires being disposed adjacent to each other and being oriented at an angle to each other so that the wires cross each other at aligned points forming a net-like construction, with receptacles being connected at selected ones of the aligned points to provide a parallel circuit, and the wires being separately connected to an electrical power source. In one embodiment, the electrical receptacle arrangement forms a flexible net, where when the receptacles receive light bulbs therein, a blanket of light is provided which can be drapped over and around a Christmas tree for decorative purposes. In another embodiment, the electrical receptacle arrangement is fixedly installed in a ceiling to receive light bulbs in the receptacles for illumination purposes.

  • Patent number: 4850900
Abstract: A light fixture lampholder having at least one bulb socket for receiving a light bulb and a mounting structure for mounting the lampholder to a light fixture. The lampholder includes first and second complementary lampholder sections each integrally molded from a plastic material. The first and second lampholder sections each define integrally molded portions of the bulb socket and the mounting means. Electrical contacts are supported by the first and second lampholder sections for supplying an electrical current to the bulb socket. A coupling device couples the first lampholder section to the second lampholder section, with the respective integrally molded portions of the first and second lampholder sections mating to form the bulb socket and the mounting structure when the first and second lampholder sections are coupled by the coupling device.
