It includes a housing, single or multi-threads for mechanical mounting and support as well as the electrical interfaces.

Abstract: A modified screw-in (Edison) type base for LED lighting devices that enables directional LED devices to be used in existing sockets. A movable center contact in a standard Edison type threaded base that enables the base to be screwed into a socket to make electrical contact while allowing the base to be rotated at least a half turn to allow a directional LED device to be aimed were the light is desired. The modified screw-type base that has a movable mount enabling a directional LED device to be firmly screwed into a standard bulb socket, then rotated to aim the light where it is desired.

Abstract: A set of electrical connector pins for a thermocouple includes two materially similar conductor pairs, each conductor pair having conductors composed of a different material, and carried by an electrically insulating connector housing. The different materials of the conductor pairs provide a partial compensation to the thermocouple EMF developed between the hot junction and the cold junction when engaged thereto for the different type thermocouples. The conductors of each pair are operable to engage with two thermoelement conductors that form a thermocouple of differing types. The thermocouples provide a hot junction electrical interconnection therebetween at one end and are coupled to a cold junction at another end.

Abstract: A light bulb socket adapter includes an adapter base and at least one lamp holder. The adapter base includes a base having a ring contact and a tip contact. The at least one lamp holder is oscillatingly mounted to the adapter base through an oscillating connection assembly. The oscillating connection assembly has a ball-holding mechanism mounted on an end opposite to the base of the adapter base, and at least one ball fixedly connected with the respective lamp holder and oscillatingly engaged with the ball-holding mechanism. The present invention allows the light bulb mounted thereon to irradiate in a desired direction and a bayonet-type bulb to be mounted in a conventional screw-type socket without requiring an additional socket adapter.

Abstract: A protective coupler for electrically coupling a cable terminal to a terminal of an electrical device. The protective coupler has a first portion that removably secures to a casing of the electrical device. The first portion comprises a first terminal that removably connects to the terminal of the electrical device, and a second terminal. A second portion comprises a third terminal that removably connects to the second terminal, and a fourth terminal that removably connects to the cable terminal.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a sleeve defining an axis and a contact assembly inserted in the sleeve, the contact assembly including pieces that move axially relative to one another during a fault close operation. An interface between the sleeve and the contact assembly is configured to permit replacement of the contact assembly without replacing the sleeve.

Abstract: A lamp socket adapter to receive a relatively low cost, low voltage (e.g., wedge base or bipin) light bulb so that the light bulb can be powered from a source of 12 volts AC or DC. The lamp socket adapter of this invention is adapted to be rotated into mating engagement with a standard Edison-type lamp socket that is to be connected to receive one of an AC or DC voltage. By virtue of the foregoing, an efficient light bulb circuit is available by which one or more low voltage light bulbs can provide bright light over an area to be illuminated with reduced power consumption relative to a conventional 120 volt AC-powered incandescent light bulb. The lamp socket adapter includes an upstanding bulb pedestal to which the light bulb is attached and supported.

Abstract: An apparatus and system is presented for partially compensating the cold junction of a thermocouple system using low cost semi-compensated conductors of system components accommodating various thermocouple types. The thermocouple system, comprises a thermocouple portion comprising two thermocouple types, each type composed of two different thermoelectric materials joined to form a hot junction, a semi-compensation portion comprising two substantially similar conductor pairs, each composed of a different material, wherein one conductor of each pair is composed of a material different than the thermoelectric materials of the respective thermocouple type of the thermocouple portion.

Abstract: An audible test circuit has a body having a plurality of prongs extending therefrom and having a plurality of lights thereon. A four way bridge rectifier circuit has a voltage steering circuit for producing a DC output voltage of known polarity located in the body. An audible alarm, is coupled to the four way bridge rectifier circuit for producing an audible alarm when power is applied to the rectifier circuit while lamps indicate the plurality of circuit connections. The audible test circuit may include a lamp socket-to-alligator clip attachment for coupling the alligator clip to the circuit. There is also a lamp socket-to-alligator clip attachment.

It is advantageous that each pair of signal contact elements is used for a balanced transmission line.

Abstract: A fast connecting structure for fitting lights, each lamp pipe of a fitting light can be made a specific length in a factory, such as 2 m, 5 m or 10 m etc. Two ends of each lamp pipe are provided with a male and a female electrical connecting end respectively. The male and the female electrical connecting ends are provided close to them with a rotation connecting means which rotate to fast connect the lamp pipes. Abstract: A preferred embodiment of an easily loadable self-contained cartridge for printed circuit card insertion and removal comprises a top wall and a front conductive bezel which is pivoted at its top with the top of the box wall. A set of three linked arms with an actuating arm extending through and affixed to the bezel provides a mechanism for moving a card-bearing movable carrier. One end of the set of linked arms is affixed to the top wall and a middle arm includes a pin which rides in a slot in the carrier to effect the desired vertical carrier motion which moves a printed circuit card edge connector into and out of a board level connector. The carrier includes slotted clips for holding the printed circuit card at one or more corners. The carrier is adjustable. A side wall includes a ridge which mates with board level guides.

The branch member has an input end removeably connected to one end of the power line section and a plurality of output ends. The branch member is provided with a pair of conductive wires spaced from each other and extending from the input end to each output end. Each of the tube light branches has a first end removeably connected to one of the output ends of the branch member and a second end mounted with an end cap. Each of the tube light branches includes a pair of conductive wires spaced from each other and parallelly extending from the first end to the second end thereof and a plurality of light emitting elements electrically connected between the conductive wires, thereby forming a tube light string with multiple tube light branches. The branch member is further provided with a central through hole adapted to be hanged on a supporting article.

Abstract: A power level adapter for connecting a low power light bulb within a higher power socket. The power level adapter includes a collar and a skirt depending from the collar. The skirt includes an outer side having a circumference substantially equal to a circumference of the socket and an inner side extending through said collar and forming a bulb receiving pool having a circumference substantially equal to a circumference of the light bulb. A device for releasably connecting the outer side within the socket is positioned on the outer side and a device for releasably retaining the light bulb within said pool is positioned within the bulb receiving pool. A electrically conductive wire-extends through the skirt for electrically connecting the light bulb to the socket type bulb.

Abstract: A variable power lamp control adapter is provided having a novel, different, and a lower cost construction method than that used in prior art lamp control devices. The circuit construction is achieved by utilization of the Surface Mount Technology disciplines of Polymer Thick Film and Chip on Board technologies. The adapter circuitry is constructed and held on a uniquely dissimilar type of substrate than that used in prior art, and assembled into housings that contain unique interengaging mating parts for a more rapid assembly process than the assembly processes used in prior art construction. In the present invention an overall improvement in the organization, arrangement of all componets, housings and assembly is achieved for a reliable power control operation.

Abstract: An adaptor for converting a 3-way electric light socket switch for convenient use with 1-way light bulbs provides an electrical conductor between the intermediate terminal of the switch to the central lead-in of the bulb and electrically insulates the central terminal of the socket from the components of the switch which correspond to the switch position which would normally energize the central terminal to produce a sequence of "on"-"off" conditions in the bulb from operation of the switch. A modified adaptor has conductors on each side for identical use in either orientation. A modified switch construction is also disclosed to provide optional use with either 3-way or 1-way bulbs.

Abstract: Modular apparatus for connecting the output terminals of one article of video equipment to the input terminals of a second article of video equipment, comprising first and second modular adapters and at least one modular connector cable. Each modular adapter comprises an insulated housing comprising a modular jack portion and either a coaxial connector portion or a twin-lead cable portion. A standard, six-position modular telephone jack is positioned in the modular jack portion. A male coaxial connector is positioned in the coaxial connector portion, while a 300 ohm twin-lead cable is positioned in the twin-lead cable portion. In one embodiment, the conductors of the modular jack are electrically connected to the solid central conductor and the conductive wire sheath of the coaxial connector, or to the wires of the twin-lead cable.
