Abstract: A connection includes one or more hollow tubular members extending outwardly from an exterior surface of a first member, a first thread provided on an exterior surface of the one or more hollow tubular members, one or more apertures formed through a thickness of a second member and sized to receive therethrough the one or more hollow tubular members, and one or more third members having a second thread sized to operatively engage the first thread, whereby the second member is securely connected to the first member.
Abstract: Connector includes a plug and receptacle. The receptacle includes a cylindrical part and a flange. The plug includes a cylindrical barrel, which houses internal connectors, and a coupling nut. At an end of the barrel, an engaging piece and a pair of locking pieces, which face each other, project in an axial direction of the barrel. Locking hooks are formed at the tips of the locking pieces. The coupling nut is screwed onto the cylindrical part to connect the plug to the receptacle. Before the connection, the engaging piece and the locking pieces are inserted into and engaged with the cylindrical part and positioned. At the same time, the locking pieces are caught in the receptacle to temporarily secure the plug to the receptacle.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for circulating air. The apparatus comprises a hollow handle assembly having a proximal end and a distal end. The apparatus further includes an air circulation assembly pivotally secured to the proximal end of the hollow handle assembly. The air circulation assembly is capable of generating an air-flow. Moreover, the apparatus includes a connecting fixture coupled to the distal end of the hollow handle assembly. The connecting fixture is capable of being received in a receptacle for a lighting appliance and for providing an electrical connection to the apparatus for circulating the air. The air circulation assembly is adapted to have an angular motion in all directions about the hollow handle assembly.
Abstract: An electrical appliance for a lampholder socket having a socket axis of rotation has a housing rotatable by an application of an applied torque thereto. A screw base is configured to be inserted in the lampholder socket and threadedly connected to the lampholder socket upon a rotation of the screw base in a first direction about the socket axis of rotation. A torque limiter is fixedly attached to the screw base for rotation therewith. The torque limiter couples the housing to the screw base for rotation therewith when the applied torque is less than a predetermined magnitude and couples the housing to the screw base for rotation relative thereto when the applied torque is greater than the predetermined magnitude. An electrical device is mounted in the housing and electrically connected to the screw base.
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug connector (10) for the detachable connection of a number of cable pairs (97, 98) with a conductor cross-section of more than 10 mm2, in particular, for the supply of the welding current in welding robots, wherein individual contact elements (52, 60), with a conducting connection to the cables (97, 98), may be plugged into an insulated plug housing (11) with a clipping action and are detachably held in the plug housing (11) or terminal housing (12), the clipping action of the contact elements (52, 60) in the housings (11, 12) being achieved by an elastic deformation of the housings (11, 12). Manipulation is facilitated in that the housing (11, 12) is made from a material of such a hardness that the plugging in and exchange of contact elements can be achieved without the use of tools.
Abstract: An electrical connector with a first coupling device with a first connection for a first electrical cable and a second coupling device with a second connection for a second electrical cable and wherein both coupling devices are interlocking for electrical contact. The second coupling device includes a first component to contact the first coupling device by interlocking, a second component that includes the second connection, and a coupling device for electrical coupling of the first component with the second component, wherein both components are flexible relative to each other in radial and/or axial direction.

Abstract: Improvements to a 3-way light bulb socket are shown. The major improvement is to replace or complement the rigid middle contact element of the socket with an elastic/flexible contact spring. The 3-way light bulb has a solder blob on its middle contact ring, where said blob usually has a rough, uneven surface, and frequently does protrude beyond the general surface of the bulb middle contact ring. The solder blob interferes with the conventional socket middle contact element, which is rigid, and prevents the system from creating a good, permanent and reliable electrical connection between the socket and the bulb. Potential flicker and discomfort to the user can occur as a result. Also, the operating life of the bulb as well as the power consumption can be affected. The proposed flexible middle contact spring can alleviate most of these problems.
Abstract: Improvements to 3-way light bulbs and to their electrical sockets are shown. The major improvement is to replace the rigid middle contact element of the socket by an elastic contact spring. Other improvements are described, which can be applied to the bulbs as well. These include flattening and smoothing the solder joint that is located on the bulb middle contact ring. Also, some new add-ons inserts or adapters are described, which can be used together with the bulbs and sockets, to improve the performance of such bulbs.
Abstract: A rope light connector releasably connects a first rope light and a second rope light together, each of the rope light having a first wire and a second wire extending therethrough. The rope light connector includes a male member and a female member integrally and respectively mounted to the first and second rope lights. The male member forms a plug having an external threaded section. The female member defines a receptacle to selectively receive the plug. The receptacle has inner threaded section engageable with the external threaded section of the plug to releasably secure the female member to the male member. Conductive members are formed in the plug and the receptacle to form engagement between the wires of the rope lights.
Abstract: Plastic housing and base construction, especially for compact fluorescent lamps and operating units thereof comprising a housing (1) which is a cup-like body and a base (2) having a metal base shell (26) and at least one metal central (3) or end contact part (4, 5). The base shell (26) is electrically insulated from the central (3) or end contact parts (4, 5). The base (2) also includes a plastic insert body (20) which is open at its upper end and closed at least partially at its lower end. The diameters of the plastic insert body (20) decrease in at least one step and it has a cylindrical or slightly conical mantle portion (24) in the region of its upper end. The base shell (26) includes a thread-free opening portion (27) the inner diameter of which fits to the mantle portion (24) of and is pulled over and fixed to the plastic insert body (20).

Abstract: A safety lampholder has center and side contacts which are concealed and cannot easily be touched by fingers when the lamp screw base is not threaded into the screwthreads. Ring and tip contacts of the lamp screw base are disposed in contact with the center and side contacts of the lampholder when the lamp screw base is threaded into position. The inside wall of the lampholder has separated steps, which have a uniform chambered angle R meeting UL specifications and which define the screwthread for mounting the lamp screw base.
