Abstract: A shielded cable fixing structure includes a shielded cable that includes an electric wire, a braid for covering the electric wire, and a sheath for covering the braid, an insulation housing that receives a terminal fitting electrically connected to the electric wire, a pair of split shield shells in which the insulation housing is mounted, a groove-shaped portion press-formed on a section of each of the split shield shells to cover a wire lead-out port of the insulation housing, from which the electric wire is led out, and is recessed on an outer surface of each of the split shield shells, and a braid fixing member fixed on an annular mounting groove constituted by the groove-shaped portions of the split shield shells, in a state where the braid is disposed between the annular mounting groove and the braid fixing member.
Abstract: The disclosure describes devices that are used in conjunction with a pair of (single wattage) compact fluorescent lamps (CFL). In some embodiments, the devices can emulate the behavior of a 3-way incandescent bulb used in a standard 3-way lamp socket. Such can allows people to retain the benefits of their existing Edison-base (E26d) 3-way lamps with the improved energy efficiency and color temperature of modern CFL technology in a cost effective and flexible way. Light fixture conversion kits for allowing an incandescent lamp to accept CFL bulbs are also described.
Abstract: A quick secure connection system for use with a set of outdoor lights includes a power source having a two-wired female connector surrounded by external threads. Threadably connected to the female connector on the power source is a male connector surrounded by an internally threaded collar. The male connector is mounted on one end of a power transmission cord. On the opposite end of the power transmission is a two-wired light assembly. On the base of the two-wired light assembly is another two-wired female connector from which a set of outdoor lights may be assembled.
Abstract: A display unit includes a number of connectors for attaching and powering electrically powered devices, such as illuminated jewelry items, each including a battery and an end cap which is removed when the item is placed on the display connector. Each of the connectors includes a threaded mounting surface engaging a threaded mounting surface of one of the devices. The orientation of each device is adjusted by its rotation in engagement with the connector as a resiliently mounted electrical contact surface of the connector is held in contact with a contact surface of the device so that electrical power is retained within the device.
