Abstract: A connector characterized in that it: is a connector that has a plurality of plate-shaped terminals that include openings able to enclose protruding terminals of the other half of the connector, and that mates with the other half of the connector. The openings comprise a wide portion, a narrow portion and a transitional portion that transitions from the wide portion to the narrow portion, and, in a top view, are provided with a first shape that is left-right asymmetric with respect to the centerline of the plate-shaped terminals, or a second shape whereby the first shape is inverted about the centerline. The plate-shaped terminals are arrayed lined up in the width direction of the connector, and arrayed such that the plate-shaped terminals comprising an opening having the first shape and the plate-shaped terminals comprising an opening having the second shape alternate.

  • Patent number: 7473143
Abstract: A low profile electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of conductors in the housing, and a metal shell mounted in the housing. Two spaced flexible latches extend outward from either side of the shell. The latch includes a level portion having a top concave portion, and a solder leg extending downward from the level portion and having a curved portion extending from the concave portion to the solder leg. The housing and the shell together are mounted at a recess on an edge of a printed circuit board (PCB) by inserting the solder legs into a plurality of first holes of the PCB and inserting poles of the housing into a plurality of second holes of the PCB respectively with the level portions rested upon the PCB. Thus, height of the connector mounted on the PCB is greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 7387551
Abstract: A connector case has a connector part, a terminal, and a resin case. The connector part of a concave shape accommodates external connection terminals. One end of the terminal is the external connection terminal. The terminal is inserted in the resin case by insert molding. The connector part, the terminal, and the resin case are integrated in one body. A part of the terminal other than the external connection terminal is exposed to the outside of the resin case as a resin case terminal. The resin case has a resin injection part of a concave shape accommodating a middle part of the terminal between the external connection terminal and the resin case terminal, namely, the middle part is exposed in the resin injection part and is filled with an encapsulating resin completely.

  • Patent number: 6893282
Abstract: Lamp mounts for tubular fluorescent lamps with a screw base are to be configured in a more compact manner for packaging purposes. A bayonet adapter (5) which can be rotated into a lamp mount (1) is provided for this purpose. The bayonet adapter (5) has, for example, an E27-type screw base opposite the bayonet connector (9). Since the bayonet adapter (5) can be removed from the lamp mount (1), a corresponding luminaire can be packaged in a more compact manner.

  • Patent number: 6454590
Abstract: A connection system for communication connectors. A first connector housing forms a front opening having an axis for receiving a second connector having a latch in the direction of the axis. The first connector housing has a retaining surface in the region of the front opening for cooperating with a part of the latch and defining a connected position for the second connector within the first connector housing. At least two resilient fingers project from a rear portion of the first connector housing toward the front opening, symmetrically with respect to the axis of the opening. Free ends of the fingers urge the second connector toward the connected position and restrain the second connector from deviating from the connected position during use. Optimal electrical performance of the mated connectors can then be maintained.

Abstract: An electrical plug-in connector for electrically connecting two regions separated by a wall. The wall has an assembly hole with a reinforcement bead on a first wall side around the hole. The connector includes a connector part positioned on a second wall side. A guide bushing is positioned on the first wall side. An extended portion of the bushing penetrates the hole in the wall. The extended portion has a support flange and a lock stop. The support flange is supported on the bead on the first wall side. The lock stop extends through the hole to the second wall side and is connected to the connector part. A locking element is connected to the connector part and is operable to engage the lock stop and exert a fastening pressure directed away from the wall towards the connector part such that the extended portion braces the bushing against the hole.

  • Patent number: 4762509
Abstract: A bayonet lock for retaining the knob of a fuseholder to an axial-insertion fuseholder body is formed by camming surfaces disposed in the walls of grooves formed in the walls of the insertion passage and on the surfaces of a knob extension which enters the passage. The engaging surfaces of the lock are of insulating material. Axial insertion and rotation of the knob retains an inserted fuse. Camming surfaces are provided so that upon rotation of the fuseholder knob in an unlocking direction, these camming surfaces cause an automatic outward ejection of the fuseholder knob. Additional camming surfaces are provided to assist in insertion so that when operator pressure is released from the knob, the knob compression spring forces the knob axially outward into engagement therewith, the surfaces being configured to provide a force urging the knob in the locking direction.
