Having Plural Bayonet-coupling Contacts Patents (Class 439/673)
  • Patent number: 9484662
Abstract: A receptacle connector for mating with the plug connector, includes a terminal unit, a metallic shield and a mating cavity surrounded by the metallic shield. The terminal unit includes a terminal module having a first insulator with a plurality of first contacts embedded therein via a first stage insert-molding process, a second insulator with a plurality of second contacts embedded therein via the similar first stage insert-molding process. The first insulator includes a first front insulator and a first rear insulator spaced from each other while linked together by the corresponding first contacts; the second insulator includes a second front insulator and a second rear insulator spaced from each other while linked together by the corresponding second contacts.

  • Publication number: 20130157515
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to multi-trace electrical connectors for harsh environments. More particularly, the present invention relates to bayonet rotary electrical connectors which maintain electrical connection dynamically, and which may have replaceable connector components. This type of connector is used, for example, in drilling operations where the connector must be rotated, for example during assembly, disassembly, or operation of bottom hole equipment or sensor or communications packages, and where the electrical connection may be maintained.

  • Patent number: 5417594
Abstract: A male electrical plug assembly includes an elongated body, terminal holder and terminal retainer made of an insulating material. The body has locating elements and locating passages aligned with the locating elements. The terminal holder fits over an opposite end portion of the body and has cavities formed thereon and slots defined therein aligned with the cavities. The cavities and slots are alignable with the locating passages and the locating elements. The male plug assembly also includes electrical terminals disposed in the cavities and elongated electrical contact elements mounted to the locating elements and extending through the locating passages of the body and through the slots and through the cavities of the terminal holder and through the terminals disposed in the cavities and into the terminal retainer.

  • Patent number: 5092796
Abstract: A system is provided for connecting a suppressor for eliminating interference from electrical appliances. The system comprises an electrical box provided with a fitting for receiving a suppressor. The suppressor includes a plurality of angularly spaced contact arms. Terminal bodies which define terminal spaces for receiving conductor ends are disposed around the fitting. Terminal screws are provided at the terminal bodies. To electrically connect the suppressor to the conductor ends, the suppressor is inserted into the fitting and then rotated until the contact arms overlie the terminal bodies. The terminal screws are then tightened to simultaneously clamp the conductor ends within the terminal spaces and to clamp the contact arms between heads of the terminal screws and backs of the terminal bodies.

  • Patent number: 4762503
Abstract: Mounting for an electric light with bayonet socket. The mounting for an electric light bulb bayonet socket is stamped from a sheet metal plate or from a sheet metal band. An opening is stamped into the sheet metal plate corresponding to about the diameter of the light bulb socket in order to allow insertion of the light bulb. The guide flaps for the light bulb socket are cut from a region of the sheet metal plate which is outside of the opening for the passage of the light bulb socket. The guide flap is bend around two axes vertical to each other such that the end sections after an arcuate shaped deformation form part of a circular cylinder shaped jack.
