The aqueous silicone-based car wax emulsion contains a isopropanol, a silicone oil, an amino-functional silicone, a cationic emulsifier, a nonionic emulsifier, an anti static agent, a silicone polyether wetting agent and optionally contains a wax such as carnauba wax. The wetting agent provides for even distribution of the aqueous car wax emulsion into the fabric and further promotes the even distribution of the car wax onto the vehicle surface when wiped thereon.

An air bag incorporating the woven textile fabric of the invention and having two outer surfaces and pre-configured air holding cavities woven therein to which a solid polymeric film is bonded for receiving and containing fluid under pressure for use in a vehicle air restraint system is also disclosed.

    Abstract: This invention relates to antimicrobial fabrics which are treated with a specific durable and regenerable halamine/chlorine system and methods of removing residual active chlorine from the target textile surface without reducing the antimicrobial activity of the textile. Such methods comprise contacting an amine-treated fabric first with a halogen-based bleach (or other halogenated liquid) to produce halamines at the fabric surface, and subsequently washing the resultant halogenated fabric with a reducing agent which removes the residual, unbonded halogen (such as chlorine) from the fabric surface but does not, surprisingly, remove the halamine halogen. The remaining halamine halogen thus provides the desired antimicrobial activity.
