Abstract: A collapsible toy kitchen apparatus and method, an embodiment including a back support including a backsplash, a kitchen counter including a countertop and a range and being pivotably connected to the back support, a base pivotably connected to the back support, and two side walls that are each foldable. The pivotable connections and foldable side walls allow the toy kitchen to collapse, such as for storage.

Abstract: A reversibly bound book is provided. A first cover strip is wrapped around the first edge of a first cover board, passes over the first side of the first cover board and along the first side of the second cover board. One end of a second cover strip is wrapped around the second edge of the second cover board, strip passes along the second side of the second cover board and over the second side of the first cover board. The cover boards are only attached to each other via the cover strips and can be rotated and turned inside-out. One book can have two different appearances simply by rotating the cover boards with respect to each other. At least one floating spine is bound to one cover board, serving as a spine in one configuration and a closure in the other.

Abstract: A rotary pop-up envelope is disclosed. The device comprises an envelope that holds a pullout tab that is pivotably connected to a pop-up sheet member. The envelope includes a slotted panel with a slot through which the pop-up sheet member is inserted. The envelope further includes a middle panel and a cover panel that, when folded together, enclose the slotted panel, the pop-up sheet member, and the pullout tab. The envelope is open at one end and partially open at a top edge such that when the pullout tab is pulled away from the envelope, the pop-up sheet member engages an apex of the slot in the slotted panel that forces the pop-up sheet member to rotate up through the open portion at the top side of the envelope.

Abstract: The book with spinning globe has a front cover, a back cover, and a spine or binding portion which binds the front cover, and the back cover. An earth globe is rotatably connected to a front cover, back cover, or spine so that the globe is rotatable about an axis extending along a plane of the front cover, back cover, or spine to which the globe is connected. The book may optionally include at least one leaf positioned between the front and the back cover. The globe may also be rotatably connected to the leaf. The globe is configured to represent the earth, and has outlines representing the continents and at least larger countries or geographical regions, and may have contours representing mountains or other features.

Abstract: By providing a unique, pre-printed housing member within which a plurality of pre-printed display members are operatively interconnected for sequential display relative to each other in a unique, co-operative, continuously unfolding construction, a unique, hands-on, printed, visually exciting and interest-generating multi-panel product is attained. In the present invention, a principal housing or first element is provided which incorporates a front panel and a rear panel mounted in juxtaposed, spaced relationship with each other, defining a first interior zone therebetween. Preferably, each panel comprises an eye-catching, visual display for generating consumer interest. In addition, a second element is mounted between the front panel and a rear panel of the first element in a manner which enables the second element to pivot outwardly from the first element from a first fully stowed position to a second fully displayed position.

Abstract: A toy rocket set that includes a rocket and a launcher for the rocket that utilizes compressed air to launch the rocket. The upper end of the launch tube has an end cap secured thereupon by a threaded connection. An annular elastomeric element is retained between the end cap and the launch tube body. As the end cap is tightened onto the launch tube body, the elastomeric element is compressed resulting in an adjustable frictional engagement with a radially enlarged nose cone on the rocket. Fluid pressure is then increased within a chamber within the launch tube. Once the fluid pressure increases to the point where the upward force upon the rocket overcomes the frictional forces between the elastomeric element and the nose cone, the rocket is launched from the launch tube. The toy rocket has a novel and advantageous parachute deployment mechanism. The edges of a parachute are secured to the rear end of the rocket body by several links.

Abstract: An expandable apparatus for displaying multiple panoramic scenes includes a multiplicity of plates and a plurality of folded segments disposed between and attached to opposite lateral end portions of the plates. The plates includes a front plate containing a viewing aperture, a rear plate containing a background scene thereon, and a plurality of intermediate plates disposed consecutively between the front and rear plates. The intermediate plates contain a variety of scenes thereon being complementary to the background scene on the rear plate. The intermediate plates have respective cutouts therein for permitting observing through the viewing aperture the scenes on the rear plate and consecutive ones of the intermediate plates closer to the rear plate than to the front plate.

Abstract: A decorative display assembly mounted on a container includes a support panel, a decorative object, and at least one actuating member. The support panel includes an outer portion having a slot defined therein and an inner portion underlying and extending generally parallel to the outer portion and along and below the slot defined therein. The container includes a closure and the actuating member can be attached to the container at a location spaced from the decorative object to secure the closure in closed condition.

Abstract: A toy computer includes a keyboard housing and a monitor housing pivotally secured by a hinge coupler. A depressible keyboard unit is pivotally supported by the keyboard housing and is coupled to a movable slider within the interior of the keyboard housing. A return spring is coupled to the slider and is operative to pivot the slider such that a ratchet engaging tooth is raised to its engagement position in the absence of a keyboard unit stroke. An endless belt display utilizes a cylindrical lens element array together with a segmented image formed on the endless belt to provide apparent motion of the image as the endless belt is moved. A ratchet coupling system is coupled between the slider and the movable belt to provide incremental belt motions in response to each keyboard stroke.

Abstract: A device for amusement and instruction comprises a succession of planar display panels, hingedly connected to collectively provide a book-like structure. The panels display words, pictures and the like. One or more of the panels displays an incomplete or partial scene within its perimeter. Adjunct display members needed to complete the partial scene are supported by such panel and/or an adjacent panel for movement from disposition within the perimeter of the book-like structure to position completing the partial scene. When the panels are disposed to provide the book-like structure, the adjunct display members may be nested within its perimeter such that the closed book-like structure is generally square, rectangular, or of other desired shape, not evidencing the presence of the adjunct display members.
