Abstract: A bra or a garment, and an associated method of construction, where the bra or garment includes a first front panel configured to support a user's breast, a first pair of straps integrally formed and extending from the first front panel, the first front panel and first pair of straps formed from a unitary tube of an elastomeric or mechanical stretch material, where the first front panel is capable of stretching to an extended position when the bra or garment is worn by the user.

Abstract: A breast-supportive and breast-positioning brassiere designed to be used postoperatively by patients including obese patients and fuller-sized women who have undergone cardiothoracic surgery that requires a mid-sternal incision (sternotomy). The brassiere is also for other interventions in the thoracic region, when a comfortable and efficient individual positioning and support of the breast(s) would be desirable; an example being to prevent symmastia after breast augmentation surgery. The brassiere prevents gravitation of the breast tissue to the lateral sides, keeps the breast tissue away from the mid center, and supports the weight of the breasts. The brassiere is designed to promote less pain, less wound complications, esthetically improved wound healing, less heat generation, improved wound inspection and access for wound care, while maintaining support and dignity.

Abstract: The bra comprises a breast containment zone defined by two breast cups engaged to a perimeter element. The perimeter element has a base and two peripheral sides extending from each side of the base, forming a “U” shape that extends about each breast cup. A chest band is engaged to and extends bilaterally away from each breast cup, to encompass the torso of a wearer. The chest band has a lower elongate zone to apply a first force to the perimeter element at the base of the perimeter element, and an upper elongate zone to apply a second force adjacent each breast cup to the perimeter element at the each peripheral side of the perimeter element and at a distance away from the base of the perimeter element.

Abstract: The adjustable bra of the present invention includes an adjustment element that permits adjustment of the length of the front, adjustment of the length of the side, and/or adjustment of the length of the back, and/or adjustment of the cup size. The bra comprises a pair of bra cups and a band, the band comprising a front underbust band attached to and underlying the bra cups, a back band, and a pair of length adjustment elements for independently adjusting the length of the band.

Abstract: The invention relates to a breast support apparatus for use with any garment. The sling or wrap of material is elasticated or “stretchable” and non-slip, for example, being of cotton/polyester. The sling or wrap of material has been shaped as shown with the ends being narrowed to the width of elasticated, connecting strap, the ends being joined to the strap and to one another, for example, by appropriate stitching. The ends of the strap are passed through an opening in metal connecting buckle of the connecting strap. The connecting strap may be used to connect or hook the breast apparatus to an appropriate location on an outer garment.

Abstract: An uplift and coverage bra includes a pair of breast cups having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups. A mechanism is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to the lower portion of each of such breast cups, for at least partially encircling a user's torso. Such mechanism has an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion. A joining mechanism is connected to at least one of such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso.

Abstract: A brassiere cup, and brassiere formed therefrom, is provided, having an outer layer, an inner layer, a moldable foam layer positioned between the outer layer and the inner layer, and a concealing layer positioned between the inner layer and the moldable foam layer. The outer layer, inner layer, moldable foam layer, and concealing layer are molded to form a cup having an apex, with the concealing layer disposed over the apex. When molded, a raised embossed area is formed on the inner surface of the inner layer over the concealing layer.

Abstract: A brassiere is provided with a front piece incorporating two breast cups and with two side pieces extending around the upper body of an individual wearing the brassiere, the first ends of which are fastened to the front piece at the sides and the second ends of which can be connected together in the back area of the individual. According to the invention, each of the side pieces includes two layers of a textile material, namely an outer layer facing away from the body and an inner layer facing the body, which are fastened together with an adhesive layer at the upper and lower edges of the respective side piece.

Abstract: A pad for a brassiere having a foam layer; a liner layer and a shaped cover positioned between the foam layer and the liner layer is provided. The shaped cover is positioned between the foam layer and the liner layer to provide enhanced coverage to the brassiere. A brassiere having a pair of breast-receiving cups is provided. Each of the pair of breast-receiving cups has a pad having a foam layer, a liner layer, and a shaped cover positioned between the foam layer and the liner layer. The shaped cover is positioned between the foam layer and the said liner layer to provide enhanced coverage to the brassiere.

Abstract: A bra includes two cups, and two bands, which are connected to respective ones of the cups at front ends thereof; each band has two supporting ribs thereon, which are used for helping keep the band smooth; furthermore, each band has a sustaining rib arranged between the two supporting ribs; when the bra is worn on a woman's body with the bands being stretched, passed across the woman's back, and joined together at rear ends, the sustaining ribs will prevent tensional force in the bands from causing deformation of the supporting ribs such that the bra bands will touch the wearer's body closely.

Abstract: A bikini assembly includes a bikini top having a first panel and a second panel. A first strap and a second strap are each elongated and each has a first end and a second end. The first strap extends through the first panel. The second strap extends through the second panel. The first and second straps are looped together such that the first panel is attached to the second panel. The first and second straps form arm openings. A bikini bottom includes a third panel having a front edge, a back edge, a first side edge and a second side edge. A third strap is elongated and has a first end and a second end. The third strap extends into the front and back edges so that leg openings are formed between the third strap and each of the first and second side edges.

A bra comprises cotton, elastic cloth, and nylon with or without underwire. The Hands Free Breast Pump Bra is designed to provide a hands free experience for nursing mothers to perform other tasks while using a breast pump device. This is a special time in a woman's life and it will be important to have a comfortable nursing bra. As a result, there exists a need for a hands free breast pump bra that will make life easier for the nursing mother while expressing milk for her newborn. Abstract: A ladies garment is composed of left and right cups 1, 2, and stretchable first and second tapes 5, 6 which are attached to a left side part 1a of the left cup 1 and a right side part 2a of the right cup 2 and which are put on in such a manner as to wrap the body from each side and across the back. The first tape 5 is attached to a top end 1b of the side part 1a of the first cup 1 and to a bottom end 2c of the side part 2a of the second cup 2. The second tape 6 is attached to a bottom end 1c of the side part 1a of the first cup 1 and to a top end 2b of the side part 2a of the second cup 2. The first tape 5 and the second tape 6 are arranged to cross over each other at the center of the back.

Abstract: A brassiere or article of clothing such as a bathing suit top having hook and loop VELCRO shoulder straps and a hook and loop, VELCRO fastener on the back section, which, will aid the wearer in making adjustments with the shoulder strap while wearing the brassiere. The hook and loop VELCRO fastener in the back section will also aid in the general task of placing the garment on and the removal of the garment.

Abstract: In a fit adjustable brassiere, the combination comprising front structure including a flexible, frontal fabric panel at the front side of the brassiere; a halter, including two transversely spaced support bands having lower frontal extents associated with front structure and extending upwardly relative to frontal fabric panel, and then downwardly at the rear side of the brassiere to define lower rearward extents; rear structure associated with and extending below the band lower rearward extents; and there being a first wing carried by the rear structure and configured to freely extend toward front structure and at one side of the brassiere, and there being a second wing carried by rear structure at the other side of the brassiere, the wings having independently adjustable position connections with front structure to transfer force from rear structure to front structure.

Abstract: A cleavage creating and/or enhancing brassiere which in the preferred embodiment uses a pair of support straps with hook-and-loop-type fasteners to pull the breasts together and create and/or enhance a cleavage line. Each of the support straps has two ends, one end being fixed to a breast pocket and the other being adjustably connected to the opposite breast pocket. The support straps can be configured so that they may be fastened horizontally or in a criss-cross manner. The brassiere may further comprise a pair of breast-lifting and directing pads inserted into a respective breast pocket, or alternatively may be used in lieu of the support straps.

Abstract: A bra sport top provides enhanced posture and increased breast support for women engaging in athletic activities. Over-shoulder harnesses encircle each shoulder and serve to urge them back. Cross braces interconnect the two over-shoulder harnesses in a crosswise manner between the shoulder blades. A support belt traveling through a slip sleeve encircles the wearer's torso below the breast and shoulder blades. Interconnecting the over-shoulder harnesses and the slip sleeve are breast-tensioning panels that compress and restrain the breasts so as to prevent any damage to the breast tissue. The left and right breast-tensioning panels may be interconnected by a detachable coupling means or may be connected by elastic bands or the like. Alternative embodiments allow for different directional support of the underlying breast tissue by the breast-tensioning panels.

Abstract: A post-operative brassiere for use by female patients following cardio-thoracic surgery is disclosed. The post-operative brassiere includes a first breast support cup and a second breast support cup being interconnected by a support strap which is worn about the neck and shoulders of the wearer so as to form an open gap between the first and second breast support cups over the area of the wearer's sternum whereon a surgical incision is located. The conventional torso encircling straps which overlie the sternum in brassieres of the prior art are eliminated. The post-operative brassiere allows access to the incision for routine examination and nursing care while providing adequate support to the wearer's breasts. In one embodiment the breast support cups include elastic panels disposed about the peripheral edges thereof to secure the same in position.
