Combination uplift and coverage bra

Abstract

An uplift and coverage bra includes a pair of breast cups having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups. A mechanism is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to the lower portion of each of such breast cups, for at least partially encircling a user's torso. Such mechanism has an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion. A joining mechanism is connected to at least one of such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates, in general, to bras, more particularly, this invention relates to uplift and push up bras and to full coverage bras.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Prior to the conception and development of the present invention, bras, as are generally well known in the prior art, have been used to support a user's breasts and to shape a user's figure. Specifically of interest to the present invention are the following: Knox, U.S. Pat. No. 7,074,108, discloses a multi-layer uplift bra which enhances a user's natural curves while providing support and coverage for such user's breasts.

Greenberg, U.S. Pat. No. 5,098,330, discloses a breast enhancement brassiere wherein each of the breast cups is constructed having an inner pocket which receives a padding material and an outer pocket which receives a removable elastomeric member.

Pickett, U.S. Pat. No. 5,873,767, discloses a torso-support garment which provides support for larger women as an undergarment, a bra-top, or as the top of a two-piece swimsuit.

Scott, et al, U.S. Pat. No. 6,165,047, discloses a breast enhancing brassiere including a pair of laterally spaced breast cups joined together having inner cups for receiving the breasts with an integral layer of padding and outer cups adjacent the inner cups. A curved reinforcing element carries along lower edges of the breast cup lifting the inner and outer cups when the brassiere is worn and the shoulder straps are in a properly adjusted position.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An uplift and coverage bra includes a pair of breast cups having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups such that such breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra. Such breast cups each have an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge.

A means is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion.

A joining means is connected to at least one of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

An upholding means is connected to at least one of the outside edge generally adjacent the upper portion of such breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least the upper edge of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and a connector means operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means and said uplift and coverage bra. Such upholding means is for assisting such breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding such breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

In another embodiment of the invention, an uplift and coverage bra is provided having a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one predetermined material formed as such breast cups such that such breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra. Such breast cups each have an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge.

A means is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion.

A joining means is connected to at least one of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

An upholding means is connected to at least one of the outside edge generally adjacent the upper portion of such breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least the upper edge of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and a connector means operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means and said uplift and coverage bra. Such upholding means is for assisting such breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding such breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

According to yet another embodiment of the invention, an uplift and coverage bra is provided having a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups such that such breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra. Such breast cups each have an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge.

A means is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion.

A joining means is connected to at least one of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

According to still another embodiment of the present invention, an uplift and coverage bra is provided having a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one predetermined material formed as such breast cups such that such breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra. Such breast cups each have an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge.

A means is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion.

A joining means is connected to at least one of the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and the means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

Still another embodiment of the invention provides, in combination with a predetermined garment, the improvement comprising a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups such that such breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

It is, therefore, one of the primary objects of the present invention to provide an uplift bra which enhances the cleavage of the user while properly supporting and covering the breasts such that unsightly bulges are eliminated.

Another object of the invention is to produce an uplift bra which provides adequate coverage to the user and produces a smooth line beneath clothing.

Yet another object of the invention is to produce an uplift and coverage bra which is comfortable and flattering to the user.

A further object is to produce an uplift bra which capitalizes on the advantages of both cleavage enhancement bras and support bras in a cost efficient manner.

Another object of the present invention is to provide an uplift bra which substantially covers a user's breasts.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide an uplift bra which will enhance a user's cleavage while producing a smooth line beneath clothing.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide in combination with a predetermined garment an improvement in supporting a wearer's breasts.

In addition to the various objects and advantages of the present invention described with some degree of specificity above it should be obvious that additional objects and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those persons who are skilled in the relevant art from the following more detailed description of the invention, particularly, when such description is taken in conjunction with the attached drawing figures and with the appended claims.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 6 is a partial perspective view of the combination uplift and coverage bra according to one embodiment of the invention in which the upholding means includes adjustable straps.

FIG. 7 is a partial perspective inside out view of the combination uplift and coverage bra according to one embodiment of the invention wherein the bra is a strapless bra with a front clasp and wherein the bra includes a layer of rubber attached thereto for upholding such bra on such user's torso.

FIG. 8 is a partial perspective view of the combination uplift and coverage bra according to one embodiment of the invention wherein the bra is incorporated into a swimsuit.

FIG. 9 is a partial perspective view of the combination uplift and coverage bra according to one embodiment of the invention wherein the bra is incorporated into a gown.

FIG. 10 is a partial perspective view of the combination uplift and coverage bra according to one embodiment of the invention wherein the bra is incorporated into a top.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF A PRESENTLY PREFERRED AND VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Prior to proceeding to the more detailed description of the present invention it should be noted that, for the sake of clarity and understanding, identical components which have identical functions have been identified with identical reference numerals throughout the several views illustrated in the drawing figures.

Reference is now made, more particularly, to FIGS. 1-10.

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, 5, and 6, an uplift and coverage bra, generally designated 10, includes a pair of breast cups 12 having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups 12 such that such breast cups 12 lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups 12 to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra 10. It is presently preferred that such at least one layer includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

Such breast cups 12 each have an upper portion 14, a lower portion 16, an inside edge 18 and an outside edge 20. It is presently preferred that such breast cups 12 include at least one of an under wire 22 and padding 24 for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

A means 26 is connected to at least one of such outside edge 20 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 and such inside edge 18 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means 26 having an upper edge 28 and a lower edge 30 and at least a rear portion 32.

A joining means 34 is connected to at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges 18 adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12, for joining at least one of such breast cups 12 and the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user. It is presently preferred that such joining means 34 includes at least one of a front clasp 36, a back clasp 38, stitching 40, a hook and loop type fastening means 42 and a hook and eye type fastening means 44.

An upholding means 46 is connected to at least one of the outside edge 20 generally adjacent the upper portion 14 of such breast cups 12 at a predetermined location thereon, at least the upper edge 28 of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means 27 operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means 46 and said uplift and coverage bra 10. The upholding means 46 is for assisting such breast cups 12 in upholding such user's breasts and holding such breast cups 12 in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

It is presently preferred that the upholding means 46 includes at least one strap 48 operably connected at each respective end 50 of the at least one strap 48 to at least one of respective predetermined locations on the uplift and coverage bra 10 and such connector means 27. More specifically the at least one strap 48 may be connected at each respective end to the upper portion 14 of each breast cup.

It is further presently preferred that the at least one strap 48 further includes an adjustment means 52 operably connected to at least one of the at least one strap 48 and the uplift and coverage bra 10 for adjusting the at least one strap 48 in length.

In this embodiment of such uplift and coverage bra 10 the upholding means 46 may also include at least one strap 48 detachably connected to the uplift and coverage bra 10 at predetermined locations thereon such that a user may wear such bra as a strapless bra. Such detachable strap may also include an adjustment means 52.

Additionally, the upholding means 46 may include a pair of straps 54, each respective strap 54 extending from at least one of a respective breast cup 12 and such connector means 27 over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and such connector means 27. The pair of straps 54 may also include an adjustment means 52. The pair of straps 54 may also be detachably connected to such uplift and coverage bra 10.

It is understood that if a connector means is utilized then any type of connector means may be used to interconnect the straps with the bra including but not limited to sewing, loops, hook and loop, buttons, pile fastener assemblies, any sort of hook and loop system and any other attachment systems known in the art. Such loop attachment means may include any type of loop, such as a circle type loop through which a strap may be threaded and attached to itself. Such hook and loop type attachment means could include but is not meant to be limited to a conventional hook and loop closure system. Such hook and loop type attachment means could also include but is not meant to be limited to a fabric loop for receiving a type of a hook including but not limited to conventional hooks, as in known hook and loop fastening systems, and hooks on which the hooking aspect is such that such hook will lay in a substantially flat manner against such user's body and such bra.

Referring to FIGS. 1-6, in another embodiment of the invention, an uplift and coverage bra, generally designated 10, is provided having a pair of breast cups 12 including at least two layers 56 of at least one predetermined material formed as such breast cups 12 such that such breast cups lift a lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups 12 to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra 10. As shown in FIG. 4, it is presently preferred that at least one 58 of such at least two layers 56 has varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

It is presently preferred that the at least two layers 56 formed as such breast cups 12 include an outer layer 60 which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest. It is further presently preferred that such outer layer 60 is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material. Additionally, such at least two layers 56 may have a substantially identical size. It is presently preferred that such at least two layers 56 are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of such breast cups 12. It is presently most preferred that such at least two layers 56 are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing.

Such breast cups 12 each have an upper portion 14, a lower portion 16, an inside edge 18 and an outside edge 20. It is presently preferred that such breast cups 12 include at least one of an under wire 22 and padding 24 for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

It is foreseeable that such breast cups could have a layer which is thicker wherein it sits adjacent the underside of such user's breasts to provide support for the breasts and to add to such user's amount of cleavage. Another layer could be placed over such first layer and extend over a top portion of such user's breast. This second layer is sufficiently thin and sufficiently extends over such user's breasts such that a smooth line is created upon which such user's clothing will lay such that an observer would be unable to discern where the bra ends and where such user's flesh begins under such user's clothing. The two layers could be different sizes or the two layers could be substantially the same size. Other features may be added to the bra in addition to such layers for enhancing the bra's performance. These features may include but are not limited to padding, under wire support systems or any support, breast enhancement, and push-up features known in the art.

A means 26 is connected to at least one of such outside edge 20 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 and such inside edge 18 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means 26 having an upper edge 28 and a lower edge 30 and at least a rear portion 32.

A joining means 34 is connected to at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges 18 adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12, for joining at least one of such breast cups 12 and the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user. It is presently preferred that such joining means 34 includes at least one of a front clasp 36, a back clasp 38, stitching 40, a hook and loop type fastening means 42 and a hook and eye type fastening means 44.

An upholding means 46 is connected to at least one of the outside edge 20 generally adjacent the upper portion 14 of such breast cups 12 at a predetermined location thereon, at least the upper edge 28 of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means 27 operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means 46 and said uplift and coverage bra 10. The upholding means 46 is for assisting such breast cups 12 in upholding such user's breasts and holding such breast cups 12 in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

It is presently preferred that the upholding means 46 includes at least one strap 48 operably connected at each respective end 50 of the at least one strap 48 to at least one of respective predetermined locations on the uplift and coverage bra 10 and such connector means 27. More specifically the at least one strap 48 may be connected at each respective end to the upper portion 14 of each breast cup.

It is further presently preferred that the at least one strap 48 further includes an adjustment means 52 operably connected to at least one of the at least one strap 48 and the uplift and coverage bra 10 for adjusting the at least one strap 48 in length.

In this embodiment of such uplift and coverage bra 10 the upholding means 46 may also include at least one strap 48 detachably connected to at least one of the uplift and coverage bra 10 and such connector means 27 at predetermined locations thereon such that a user may wear such bra as a strapless bra. Such detachable strap may also include an adjustment means 52.

Additionally, the upholding means 46 may include a pair of straps 54, each respective strap 54 extending from at least one of a respective breast cup 12 and said connector means 27 over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and such connector means 27. The pair of straps 54 may also include an adjustment means 52. The pair of straps 54 may also be detachably connected to such uplift and coverage bra 10.

Furthermore, the outer layer 60 of such breast cups 12 may extend over at least a portion of the at least one strap 48 and such pair of straps 54 for creating a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will lay.

It is again understood that if a connector means is utilized with this embodiment then any type of connector means may be used to interconnect the straps with the bra including but not limited to sewing, loops, hook and loop, buttons, pile fastener assemblies, any sort of hook and loop system and any other attachment systems known in the art.

Referring to FIG. 7, in still another embodiment, an uplift and coverage bra, generally designated 10, includes a pair of breast cups 12 having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups 12 such that such breast cups 12 lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups 12 to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra 10. It is presently preferred that such at least one layer has varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

Such breast cups 12 each have an upper portion 14, a lower portion 16, an inside edge 18 and an outside edge 20. It is presently preferred that such breast cups 12 include at least one of an under wire 22 and padding 24 for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

A means 26 is connected to at least one of such outside edge 20 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 and such inside edge 18 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means 26 having an upper edge 28 and a lower edge 30 and at least a rear portion 32.

A joining means 34 is connected to at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges 18 adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12, for joining at least one of such breast cups 12 and the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user. It is presently preferred that such joining means 34 includes at least one of a front clasp 36, a back clasp 38, stitching 40, a hook and loop type fastening means 42 and a hook and eye type fastening means 44.

It is presently preferred that such uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means 46 operably connected to such uplift and coverage bra 10 at a predetermined location thereon. It is presently preferred that such upholding means 46 includes a layer of rubber 64 of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an such uplift and coverage bra 10 at a predetermined location thereon. It is further presently preferred that such predetermined location is at least one of a lower inside edge 66 of the means 26 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user and such lower inside edge 18 generally adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12.

Referring to FIG. 7, according to yet another embodiment of the invention, an uplift and coverage bra, generally designated 10, is provided having a pair of breast cups 12 including at least two layers 56 of at least one predetermined material formed as such breast cups 12 such that such breast cups lift a lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups 12 to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing the uplift and coverage bra 10. It is presently preferred that at least one 58 of such at least two layers 56 has varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

It is presently preferred that the at least two layers 56 formed as such breast cups 12 include an outer layer 60 which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest. It is further presently preferred that such outer layer 60 is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material. Additionally, such at least two layers 56 may have a substantially identical size. It is presently preferred that such at least two layers 56 are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of such breast cups 12. It is presently most preferred that such at least two layers 56 are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing.

Such breast cups 12 each have an upper portion 14, a lower portion 16, an inside edge 18 and an outside edge 20. It is presently preferred that such breast cups 12 include at least one of an under wire 22 and padding 24 for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

A means 26 is connected to at least one of such outside edge 20 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 and such inside edge 18 generally adjacent to such lower portion 16 of each of such breast cups 12 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, such means 26 having an upper edge 28 and a lower edge 30 and at least a rear portion 32.

A joining means 34 is connected to at least one of the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges 18 adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12, for joining at least one of such breast cups 12 and the means 26 for at least partially encircling such torso of such user. It is presently preferred that such joining means 34 includes at least one of a front clasp 36, a back clasp 38, stitching 40, a hook and loop type fastening means 42 and a hook and eye type fastening means 44.

It is presently preferred that such uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means 46 operably connected to such uplift and coverage bra 10 at a predetermined location thereon. It is presently preferred that such upholding means 46 includes a layer of rubber 64 of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an such uplift and coverage bra 10 at a predetermined location thereon. It is further presently preferred that such predetermined location is at least one of a lower inside edge 66 of the means 26 for at least partially encircling a torso of such user and such lower inside edge 18 generally adjacent to the lower portion 16 of such breast cups 12.

Still another embodiment of the invention provides, in combination with a predetermined garment, generally designated 70, the improvement comprising a pair of breast cups 12 including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups 12 such that such breast cups 12 lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from such breast cups to such user's breasts.

While a presently preferred and various alternative embodiments of the present invention have been described in sufficient detail above to enable a person skilled in the relevant art to make and use the same it should be obvious that various other adaptations and modifications can be envisioned by those persons skilled in such art without departing from either the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims.

a. a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;

b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion;

c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and;

d. an upholding means connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent said upper portion of said breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least said upper edge of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means operably connected to at least one predetermined location on at least one of said upholding means and said breast cups, for assisting said breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding said breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

2. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

3. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said at least one layer includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

4. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to at least one of respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means.

5. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 4 wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length.

6. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap detachably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at predetermined locations thereon.

7. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 6 wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length.

8. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means.

9. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 8 wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length.

10. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap detachably connected to at least one of said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means at predetermined locations thereon.

11. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 10 wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length.

12. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 1 wherein said joining means is at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means.

13. An uplift and coverage bra comprising;

a. a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support a user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;

b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion;

c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and;

d. an upholding means connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent said upper portion of said breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least said upper edge of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means and said uplift and coverage bra for assisting said breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding said breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.

14. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said at least two layers formed as said breast cups includes an outer layer which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest.

15. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said outer layer is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material.

16. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said at least two layers have a substantially identical size.

17. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of said breast cups.

18. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 17 wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing.

19. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

20. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein at least one of said at least two layers includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

21. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to at least one of respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means.

22. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 21 wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said strap in length.

23. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap detachably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at predetermined locations thereon.

24. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 23 wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length.

25. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means.

26. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 25 wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length.

27. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap detachably connected to at least one of said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means at predetermined locations thereon.

28. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 27 wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length.

29. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 13 wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means.

30. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 14 wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra.

31. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 30 wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said strap in length.

32. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 31 wherein said outer layer extends over at least a portion of said at least one strap for creating a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will lay.

33. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 14 wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means.

34. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 33 wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length.

35. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 34 wherein said outer layer extends over at least a portion of said straps for creating a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will lay.

36. An uplift and coverage bra comprising;

a. a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;

b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion; and

c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

37. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 36 wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

38. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 36 wherein said at least one layer has varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations.

39. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 36 wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means.

40. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 36 wherein said uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means operably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon.

41. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 40 wherein said upholding means includes a layer of rubber of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon.

42. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 41 wherein said predetermined location is at least one of said lower inside edge of said means for at least partially encircling a torso of a user and said lower inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups.

43. An uplift and coverage bra comprising;

a. a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;

b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion; and

c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.

44. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 43 wherein said at least two layers formed as said breast cups include an outer layer which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest.

45. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said outer layer is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material.

46. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said at least two layers have a substantially identical size.

47. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of said breast cups.

48. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 17 wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing.

49. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction.

50. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein at least one of said at least two layers includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon.

51. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means.

52. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 44 wherein said uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means operably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon.

53. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 52 wherein said upholding means includes a layer of rubber of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon.

54. An uplift and coverage bra according to claim 53 wherein said predetermined location is at least one of a lower inside edge of said means for at least partially encircling a torso of a user and said inside edges generally adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups.

55. In combination with a predetermined garment, the improvement comprising a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts.
