Abstract: Disclosed is a vent assembly that includes a fin/actuator sub-assembly that includes an aperture, an inner ring that includes a plurality of protrusions, each protrusion including a retention surface, and an annular retaining member, wherein when the annular retaining member is in a retaining engagement with the fin/actuator sub-assembly and the inner ring, a portion of the annular retaining member is disposed within the aperture of the fin/actuator sub-assembly, and portions of the annular retaining member contact the retention surfaces of the protrusions of the inner ring.

Abstract: A vent apparatus (10, 600) includes a perforated screen (12), a door (18), and a handle. The screen includes hexagonally shaped perforations (15). The door is adjacent a first face (13) of the screen and includes at least one arm (20, 22) that extends through at least one slot in the screen. The handle is in operative connection with the at least one arm and is operative to cause the door to move between a closed position (62) adjacent the screen to one of a plurality of open positions (64) extending at an acute angle with respect to the screen.
Abstract: A fresh air and recirculation air switching case using a rotary door, since an introduced air flows along an inner surface of a circumferential wall of the rotary door, a convex grid is formed on an inner surface of the circumferential wall of the rotary door. In this system, the air flow directed toward a suction inlet is prevented from becoming turbulent behind the rotary door and the air flow noise can be suppressed.

Abstract: A flue seal (10) utilized in conjunction with a flue (12) within a fireplace (14). The flue seal (10) has a magnetic sheet (18) positionable within the flue (12). The magnetic sheet (18) has a sheet opening (18a) therethrough. A fastener (20) is securely connected through the sheet opening (18a). A pull chain (22) is securely connected to the fastener (20) extending downwardly therefrom.
Abstract: A method of preventing clogging and leaking in an automobile air vent system where there is an upwardly facing air vent grill which is made of a magnetically permeable material and is positioned at an upper portion of the body surface of the automobile forwardly of the windshield. This air vent is covered by a generally planar intake cover having a perimeter configuration substantially the same as the vent intake opening. This cover is made of a magnetic material which when placed over the vent cover remains securely in place and prevents the clogging (and thus leaking) of the air vent system.
Abstract: A vehicle roof (1) having a cover (3) which, selectively, can close or at least partially expose a roof opening (2). A liner (6) which is made of a waterproof transparent material is slidably arranged below the cover (3). Contrary to a known design, in which the transparent liner, in combination with an opaque cover, does offer a variety of options regarding light transmission of the entire vehicle roof, the vehicle roof of the present invention provides an additional ventilation possibility, in that the liner (6) has ventilation openings (21) which are designed to prevent water penetration. The ventilation openings, preferably, have rearward facing slots (23) and can selectively be exposed or closed by way of movable parts (24).
