Abstract: A drapery-holding, light-blocking air deflector is provided comprising an elongated deflector housing having an internal space. A rod is mounted for rotation within the internal space of the deflector housing. Multiple retaining radial protrusions (e.g., radially extending flaps) are mounted on the rod. The rod can be rotated in the internal space of the deflector housing to orient the retaining radial protrusions at multiple positions or angles and retain a curtain or other suspended light-blocking or privacy item within the internal space. Thus, the air deflector prevents the curtains, panels or other suspended, light-blocking or privacy items from being blown forward by air from an AC unit and separating and unblocking light passing through a window into the room.
Abstract: An air conditioner includes: a heat exchanger housed inside a main body and arranged in a flow passage of air to be sucked into the main body through an air inlet and blown out to a target space through an air outlet; and an airflow-direction vane arranged at the air outlet. The airflow-direction vane includes a first curved portion and a second curved portion. The first curved portion is positioned on an upstream side with respect to the second curved portion, and a curvature of the first curved portion is larger than a curvature of the second curved portion.
Abstract: A window rain shield ventilator for installation in an open window, such ventilator having slideably extending first and second ventilator shield members attached, respectively, to first and second flange members, each flange member having at least one rotatable engagement member to aid in retaining the ventilator in the window's sash channels.
Abstract: A ventilator for slider type windows is provided, the ventilator having triangular end members and one or more bridging members extending therebetween. The ventilator is positionable between fixed and movable portions of the window and deflects incoming air upwardly or to the side. Each bridging member is provided with a pair of rib portions, each having a partially enclosed slot running the length thereof. Each end member has a slot adapted to receive the end face of a bridging member and has a pair of holes extending therethrough in alignment with the corresponding slots of the bridging member received therein. A screw extends through each hole and is threaded into the adjacent bridging member slot to secure the bridging member to the end member. The ventilator is particularly useful with combination storm and screen windows or doors. The ventilator can be packaged with all components flat and can be assembled and disassembled with ease.
