Abstract: A one-piece adjustable air discharge register is of a generally clamshell-type of construction having a number of air-directing vanes formed integrally therein with the discharge register being adapted for pivotal mounting in an air discharge opening for adjustment of the flow of discharge air in a first adjustment direction. The discharge register also has a number of pivotally movable air-directing louvers formed integrally therein for adjustment of discharge airflow in a second adjustment direction transverse to, and independent of, the first adjustment direction. The one-piece discharge register includes an integral frame portion for supporting the movable louvers, with a number of sets of living hinges being integrally formed with the frame portion, the fixed vanes, and the movable louvers, in order to allow the register to be molded as a single, one-piece device and assembled in a simple one-step operation.

Abstract: An air conditioner has rotatable first and second deflectors provided in an outlet for discharging conditioned air. The first deflector is rotatable about a substantially horizontal axis so as to variably deflect the conditioned air in vertical directions. The second deflector is rotatable so as to block a breadthwise portion of the outlet while forming an air passage in the remainder breadthwise portion of the outlet. The first and second deflectors are rotatable independently of each other.
Abstract: An air conditioning outlet and inlet grill for installation in static structures comprising a plurality of modular grill units and apparatus for interconnecting the plurality of modular grill units in a desired grid arrangement.
Abstract: A discharge nozzle has directional blades which can be swivelled about a swivel axis running parallel to the discharge-side front edge of a housing. The blades are swivelled by means of a coupling part, providing the directional blades with a common orientation. Diffused air flow through the discharge nozzle is selectively provided by diffusing insert blade segments which are insertable between the directional blades. The diffusing blades are part of a rigid diffusing grid, which is at least partially insertable from the back side of the directional blades between these blades and which is guided in a sliding manner in the nozzle housing by means of a rotary control button having a spiral guideway.
