Patent number: 11585564Abstract: An air tight sealing cuff for a blast gate includes a pair of flat plates disposed on opposite sides of the slide mounting of the gate, and replaceable spring clips for holding the plates in position. Resilient gasket material applied to the plates forms a substantially air-tight seal between the slider and slide mount of the cuff and the exterior of the cuff. As a consequence, there is eliminated inadvertent leakage from the area around the gate slider, which would otherwise represent wasted energy. Improved efficiency and reduced carbon footprint result.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2020Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Inventors: Robert M Jezik, Susan Jezik

Patent number: 8827781Abstract: A ceiling vent assembly consisting of a pair of opposed end panels and a pair of opposed side panels which defining a frame. At least one louver is pivotally mounted within the frame to be movable between an open position to permit airflow through the vent assembly and a closed position blocking airflow. The louver includes an upper surface defining a curvature and decreases in thickness at an outer edge. When in an open configuration, the louver permits air to pass through the ceiling vent assembly in a directed flow associated with the curvature of the louver upper surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2008Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignee: The GSI Group, Inc.Inventor: James Aderman

Patent number: 8209923Abstract: A vent hood and flashing assembly for use on a metal roof. A vent hood overlies and is joined to flashing. A cover and a screen overlie an upper end portion of the flashing to exclude rain, snow and pests. The flashing includes a resilient, flexible, water-repellant, flexible flange that extends outward from, and is attached to, a lower end portion of the flashing and a flexible, ring seal that overlies an upper surface of the flange. The assembly can be placed over a projection through an opening in a metal roof such that the cover and screen overlie an upper end of the projection and with the flashing surrounding the projection, and the flange can be bent to sealingly conform to the roof surface and secured thereto by fasteners.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2010Date of Patent: July 3, 2012Inventor: Daniel L.
