Abstract: By exhausting a gas in a second space (S2) surrounded by an outer wall of an inner barrel member (12) and an inner wall of an outer barrel member (13) outside an outer wall of the outer barrel member (13), a pressure in the second space (S2) is decreased so as to be lower than a pressure in a first space (S1) in the inner barrel member (12). This enables the gas in the first space (S1) to pass through a communication mechanism (30) and flow toward the second space (S2). At this time, an airflow passing through the communication mechanism (30) is “narrowed” so that the airflow is forced to flow. Thus, a mist containing particles or the like, which is generated when performing processing of the substrate (20), is efficiently exhausted from the first space (S1), therefore, contamination of the processing target surface of the substrate is prevented.

  • Patent number: 7090709
Abstract: A safety cabinet which can prevent contaminated air from leaking from a working space through the periphery of a front shutter, and which can prevent outside air from entering the working space has a peripheral structure part surrounding the working space formed with air suction ports in a part opposed to the inner surface of the front shutter connected to a negative pressure passage formed outside of the working space. The negative pressure passage guides air sucked through the air suction ports from the inside and the outside of the working space, toward a filter for purification of the air.

  • Patent number: 7048625
Abstract: A substantially cubic work space extends from an upper opening to the interior of a housing. A substantially cubic lower space extends from a lower opening to the interior of the housing. A front cover covering the upper opening is provided on the front of the work space. The front cover is, for example, a transparent resin sheet bent and protruding from the upper opening to the interior of the work space, and is held, by a horizontal rod, in the form of the letter L in cross-section. A clean bench having a simple structure, easily installed, and being capable of achieving a high level of cleanliness even if installed in a relatively unclean environment can thus be provided.

  • Patent number: 7001263
Abstract: An air flow monitoring and control system with reduced false alarms includes an alarm sensor for monitoring air flow in a fume hood or the like, set to provide a warning if air flow drops below a predetermined amount. A local controller monitors the alarm, and disables it when the hood is set to reduced air flow, whether by a local timer or by command of a central control system. Optionally, the controller itself can operate a variable speed drive to reduce air flow on a timed basis, and the controller can communicate with facility management through a dialer or the Internet, or can interface with a central control for the facility through a facility bus.

Abstract: A device for regulating the air volume flow for a laboratory exhaust, has a rectangular housing (6) which can be arranged on the laboratory exhaust. The device is equipped with inflow devices that can be connected to the interior of the laboratory exhaust and with outflow devices (8, 12, 13) that can be connected to an exhaust air system. The interior of housing (6) is divided by a partition (17) into two parts, namely a calming part on the exhaust side and a measurement and regulating part on the outflow side, and these two parts are connected by an air deflection area (18). A rectangular measurement orifice (20, 25) has pressure measurement devices (22, 23, 24, 28, 29) and a rectangular regulating flap (21) arranged one after the other at a distance in the direction of flow between a housing wall and the partition (17).
