  • Patent number: 7136672
Abstract: A mobile telephone quipped with a camera may employ, as a camera flash, one or more RGB tri-color LEDs arranged on a face of the mobile telephone which is aligned with the direction in which a photograph may be taken by the camera. The viewing angle of the RGB tri-color LED may be greater than the field angle of the camera, and a lens may be arranged in front of emitting portion(s) of the RGB tri-color LED so as to cause illuminance to be uniform within the field angle of the camera. The RGB tri-color LED may also serve as an indicator of telephone functions.

  • Patent number: 6993304
Abstract: An MCU 30 of a multi-band receiver detects signal input levels from level detection circuits 18 and 18? of receiver circuits 4a and 4b, respectively, and thereby determines and identifies to which frequency band a signal input has been performed or whether simultaneous signal inputs to frequency bands have been performed. The MCU 30 controls over drive circuits for LEDs 41g and 41r according to the signal input statuses, thereby causing a multi-colored light-emitting indicator 41 to illuminate in different colors. Further, in a single signal input, the illumination color of the multi-colored light-emitting indicator 41 can be changed within an identical color group according to the level of a received frequency, for display. Further, when the received frequency is the frequency stored in a memory channel, the illumination color can be made to be different from the colors emitted in the single signal input status.

  • Patent number: 6859644
Abstract: A method of initializing system components of a wireless-controlled lighting system. The system components include a remote control and a plurality of lighting units which communicate with a control master for the system via commonly-received radio communications. In order to become part of the system, each component transmits a respective request for initialization. A local control master for the system responds to each request, in turn, by allocating and transmitting a unique ID code for the requesting component. It then transmits a verify command to the requesting component which, if it has received the ID code, signals the user affirmatively.

  • Patent number: 6385466
Abstract: A portable terminal device including display means 40 for indicating characters and figures, light-emitting means 31 and 32 for emitting exposing light to be used as backlight of the display means, drive means 21 and 22 for activating the light-emitting means, and control means 11 for controlling the drive means, wherein the light-emitting means emits exposed light rays having at least two wavelengths; the control means controls the drive means according to the content of the information to be transmitted to the user in such a way that the wavelength of the exposing light originating from the light-emitting means are changed, thereby enabling the color of backlight of the display means to be changed according to the content of the information to be transmitted. Since a user can ascertain information by means of backlight color, operations required to read characters and figures indicated on the display means can be simplified. This function produces a great effect particularly in darkness.
